Some Reflections After the Passing of a Fellow Practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 21, 2005, I heard to my surprise that a certain practitioner had died. I could not understand why we suffered such a great loss at this critical moment when everyone was busy offering salvation to people. Shortly before the practitioner passed away, some practitioners went to the hospital for support and informed other practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts. Unfortunately, the effort did not stop the final outcome. The evil took away this diligent practitioner's physical body.

After the initial shock and pain, more practitioners sat down together and searched for the loopholes in our cultivation and the course of validating the Fa.

First, clarifying the truth is very important. When some individual practitioners encounter serious interference, our minds should not be affected. We should continue doing the three things while supporting fellow practitioners. This way we can negate the old forces' arrangements. If the evil forces see that one practitioner's trouble can affect many other practitioners, they might intensify their interference, causing greater difficulties for that person. The evil forces would believe that they could use this practitioner's situation to create interference with everyone's truth clarification efforts.

On the other hand, our practitioners have not formed one unified body as required. Since the evil persecution started in 1999, the practitioners in Lanzhou gradually stepped out to validate the Fa, clarify the truth and offered people salvation. More than 30 practitioners have lost their lives due to violent persecution. More than 10,000 people have been detained. Today, thousands of practitioners are still being incarcerated. They are under the most brutal persecution every second, but the Dafa disciples who are following the Fa rectification process never forgot their pre-historic vow to validate the Fa and offer sentient beings salvation.

Since 2002, practitioners in Lanzhou and the surrounding area overcame difficulties and established many Dafa materials printing sites. Their truth clarification and activities to offer people salvation became better and better. On the other hand, they haven't joined forces to act together. Although we are all very busy doing the truth clarification, distributing the Nine Commentaries and persuading people to quit the CCP, we have ignored that we practitioners are one body.

When the police abducted fellow practitioners we told each other to send forth righteous thoughts to help the detained practitioners, but our efforts were not consistent. As a result, some practitioners were persecuted even harder (e.g. Li Dongmei, Ning Gang and others). We did not actively send forth righteous thoughts to rescue them. Consequently some practitioners were tortured to death (e.g. Bi Wenming from Longxi area). More practitioners were tortured (e.g. Li Wenming and Yang Xuegui), and in June, Qian Shiguang was abducted and tortured. In July, several practitioners suffered from illness tribulations and checked into hospitals. On July 21, a practitioner suddenly died.

These incidents should make us realize we have been aloof when facing the evil persecution. We did not see the importance of rescuing fellow practitioners. We did not use our capability to function according to "Together there's a form, and separated there are particles" ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference") When we heard about fellow practitioners being abducted, facing interference from sickness or being tortured in forced labor camps, we did not make a solid rescue effort while working on the three things. Consequently we were put on the defensive all the time, and more practitioners lost their lives to evil persecution. These have been hard lessons to learn.

Now, more practitioners realize the importance of forming one body. They are sharing experiences and trying to find their own shortcomings. We are determined to take control of the situation, clarify the truth, offer people salvation and rescue fellow practitioners. We have to form a solid body of Dafa practitioners and leave no loopholes for the evil to exploit.

I suggest that practitioners in Lanzhou and the surrounding areas fully function as Dafa particles. We have to truly understand the importance of forming one body from the Fa-principles. We will send forth the strongest righteous thoughts and never allow the evil to persecute Dafa disciples; we will completely eliminate all rotten demons and the Communist evil spirit.
