(Clearwisdom.net) From the 10th to the 17th of July, practitioners from Italy and Germany held three activities at Parliament Square, Premier House Square and the Coliseum during "The Night of the University City" which lasted for a week.

Demonstrating Falun Gong exercises at the Coliseum in Rome

There were crowds of people in Rome during July. Many touring groups from China were shocked when they saw there were so many Western Falun Gong practitioners. Some asked for leaflets, while more of them excitedly took pictures. Many Italian people and tourists from other countries signed petitions supporting Falun Gong and condemning the savage acts of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Many people shed tears after viewing the pictures of torture used in attempts to force practitioners to renounce their beliefs.

The size of the square where the practitioners held their activity was quite limited. When they were peacefully doing the exercise demonstration, many passers-by stopped to watch. They asked, why are these gentle, solemn, and peaceful people being persecuted by the CCP?

On Parliament Square, a woman stopped and watched for a long time and then she approached me ad asked, "I am a member of Parliament, what can I do for you?"

Truth-clarification activity on Parliament Square

This was the second time I had heard this question on the same square. I was really moved. From her voice, I could feel her genuine wish of wanting to do something for Falun Gong. I answered: "Thank you very much. You've already done the first thing - offer your precious support. The second thing is relatively specific. We'd like to do a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in Rome, but the Roman police never give us a good position. We can hold peaceful activities freely in Parliament Square and Premier House Square, but we can't protest in front of the Chinese Embassy for the innocent persecuted Chinese people. We hope we can change this situation."

She said: "I will certainly try my best to help you!"
