By a new practitioner from Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) My mother is 72 years old this year. In April 1996 she was fortunate to hear about Falun Gong, and she started to practice. She has not been ill for over nine years. However, before she practiced Falun Gong she had many illnesses for years, including a heart problem, hepatitis and gastric disease. She looked very emaciated. Once she had a high fever that would not recede. The doctor in the No. 208 Hospital of People's Liberation Army suspected she had lung cancer.

Inconceivably, since my mother started to practice Falun Gong, her complexion and her health improved with each day. Her weight quickly increased. At the same time, her thinking fundamentally changed. No matter how many difficulties and conflicts she encountered, she could face them with an open-mind and with ease. Her health and her character changed so much that relatives and friends were all amazed by the miraculous effect that Falun Gong had on her.

However, in July 1999 the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) no longer allowed people to practice Falun Gong, which we couldn't understand at all. If Falun Gong was not good, why were there nearly 100 million people in China practicing? We firmly supported our mother to continue practicing Falun Gong.

Another miracle I witnessed with my own eyes made me eventually make a significant decision about my own life. That is, to firmly step on the path of Dafa cultivation.

On March 15, 2005 my mother suddenly received a phone call from an old neighbor, Aunt Tang. Aunt Tang said she missed my mother since they hadn't seen each other for so many years, and she wanted to meet with my mother. The two met and both were shocked at seeing each other. Aunt Tang is 76 years old this year and used to be very healthy. A year ago she suddenly developed the combination of hypertension and heart disease, and she has been in the hospital under medical treatment for a long period of time. She had been critically ill twice. Her children had collected the money for her heart surgery, however the doctor said the surgery could only maintain her life for a year. She could be in danger of dying at any time without the surgery. Aunt Tang had made a decision not to suffer with the diseases any more. She gave away her belongings, such as clothes. The only thing left to do was to meet with those she most wanted to see and to say a final goodbye, then she would end her life. My mother told Aunt Tang about her cultivation experience and her changes. She talked about many principles. Seeing my mother's changes, Aunt Tang sighed with emotion.

Several years ago, when Aunt Tang lived with her daughter in Beijing, she had practiced Falun Gong. She remembered a story. Once she had a tour to Wutai Mountain and wanted to buy a book from the temple. The old monk did not want to sell the book to her and said to her, "Do not buy the book here. The book in your bag has a much higher level than the book here." In fact, she had the book Zhuan Falun in her bag because she wanted to read it during the breaks. At that time, she was very happy to hear what the monk said but didn't think much about it. Later when the evil party no longer let people practice Falun Gong, she gave up the practice. Now she really felt regretful and decided to practice Falun Gong again.

Early the next morning, Aunt Tang, accompanied by her husband and her son, took a taxi to my home and started to do the exercises. At the beginning she could only practice while partially lying on the bed. At noon she was able to sit up and to do the exercises. In the afternoon she was able to stand up on the ground, and she felt that her legs had more strength. It was even more surprising the next day when she went back home after practicing. She didn't (as usual) tell her family to pick her up, but she instead slowly walked up to the fourth floor and arrived at her apartment by herself. Her family couldn't believe their eyes. They knew that just a few days ago, when she needed to go out to enjoy some sunlight, she had to sit down on a small stool at the second floor to rest, and they had to support her by her arms while walking down the stairs from the fourth floor.

The 76-year-old lady immediately got rid of all her medicines and injections once she started to practice Falun Gong again. Three months later, there were obvious black hairs growing among her silver hair over her whole head. Her relatives and friends all asked how she could recover so fast and so well. She told everyone she met, "I recovered through practicing Falun Gong." Her six-year-old grandson said, "Since my grandma practiced Falun Gong, she has a good temper and good health. I will learn Falun Gong from my grandma." Now whenever she holds a Falun Dafa book and sees Master's picture, she can't help but cry. She said, "Now no one thinks I am a 76-year-old woman, but several months ago I was the one lying in bed all day long and unable to breathe freely."

My witnessing the second miracle right beside me made me think deeply about it. Why is such a miraculous practice, that helps people achieve good health and that purifies people's minds, persecuted brutally by the CCP, while at the same time it's welcomed and supported in other countries around the world, including Taiwan and Hong Kong? Falun Gong practitioners follow the principles of Falun Dafa and try to be good people according to "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." They want to be true, tell the truth, doing things genuinely, treat others with kindness, think of others first and themselves second, be tolerant, and look inside when facing conflicts or problems. On the other side, under the CCP's ruling, corruption can be seen everywhere. No one dares to easily believe anything is true, as fake news, false data, false Ids, and fake medicines are everywhere. Those that treat others with kindness and like to help others are regarded as fools or having mental problems. For power and money, people fight against each other either to their faces or behind their backs, using all kinds of underhanded methods.

The evil party that claimed to be "always great, honorable and correct" couldn't tolerate the fact that over 100 million people practiced Falun Gong. Jiang's regime systematically planned and created conflicts, and then labeled the peaceful appeals of Falun Gong practitioners as "playing politics." Based on such an excuse, they started brutally persecuting Falun Gong. Recalling the history of the CCP, it is indeed the history of brutally suppressing people, such as the Anti-rightist Movement, the Three Anti-campaign, the Five Anti-campaign, the Cultural Revolution, the Tiananmen Square Massacre, and so on. Now, it uses massive tax revenues from the people to brutally persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

Through serious thinking, I made a significant decision in my life. I want to practice Falun Dafa to be a good person. I firmly quit that evil and corrupt party.
