Face Economic Persecution by the Old Forces with Righteous Thoughts

After I walked out of the detention center with righteous thoughts in November 2001, I went back to work at my company. The workshop foreman withheld two months of my salary for no reason. The factory management told me, "You can return to work at your previous job only if you write and sign the affidavit paper (not to practice Falun Gong). Otherwise you will be assigned to the raw material section hauling coal." I told them, "You are punishing me by making me haul coal because I practice Falun Gong. I refuse to go along with this, since this is persecution against me."

After I lost my income (my wife also lost her job after January 2000), our life became difficult. I barely made it by working as a temporary worker at a construction site. I lost that job after construction stopped before the Chinese New Year. After the Chinese New Year I went to work at another construction site in Guangzhou City. I started to worry since the three things Teacher requested me to do were all in jeopardy, and I could not get Teacher's new articles and experience sharing articles from fellow practitioners in a timely fashion. I decided to return to my hometown after four months and worked as a temporary worker at a construction site.

I worked 11 to 12 hours per day at a construction job in my hometown. Even though I could guarantee sufficient time to study the Fa and do the exercise, I did not have enough time to clarify the truth and distribute pamphlets. I often wondered, "Was I following the path arranged by the old forces?" I could not see a clear answer and I was really puzzled.

One day while studying the "Fa", I flipped to a page with the words,

"A stable job also prevents a cultivator from being held up, due to problems of food and shelter or survival, in his cultivation, in his spreading the Fa without worries, or in his clarifying the truth and saving the world's people." ("Dafa Is All-Encompassing" from Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Suddenly my puzzlement vaporized. Wouldn't the old forces try every way to tire you out to earn a living, so that you had no more time to study the Fa, do the exercises and to clarify the truth to save sentient beings?"

So what was the reason that steered me to follow the path arranged by the old forces?

Looking within myself I could see that deep in my conscience, I was still expecting the factory management would change their mind and ask me to return to work at my original job. This was an attachment to hoping ordinary people would help me out. I realized that Dafa practitioners must not have such a state of mind. I deserved to return to my previous job so that I could better carry out what a Dafa practitioner should do.

After I had a better understanding of the Fa, I became clearheaded. After a few days I went home. My wife told me the factory management had come by several times asking me to return to my previous job. The two months salary was also refunded to me. The old forces economic and financial persecution against me disintegrated. No words can describe nor show my sincere gratitude for Teacher's immense compassion.

I wrote this article so that my fellow practitioners will not ignore and overlook the economic and financial persecution arranged by the old forces. Recognize it from the Fa, identify any attachments and eradicate the economic persecution by the old forces so that we can better accomplish the three tasks. Let's not fail to live up to Teacher's compassionate salvation, and the designation of "Dafa Disciple of the Fa Rectification Period."
