Mr. An Senbiao, 38, is a former employee of No.2 Oil Extraction Plant in Daqing City and a Falun Dafa practitioner. On January 24, 2005, while clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa inside Babaishang Police Department in Daqing, Mr. An was arrested by lawless personnel. While Mr. An was locked up in confinement in Longfeng Detention Center he was forced to put on shackles weighting 30 jin (about 33 lbs). Normally, these shackles were reserved for people facing the death penalty. Using the shackles the guards locked Mr. An to a metal ring secured to the ground. In the cold winter, the guards soaked his cotton-padded jacket and trousers with cold water. In the Suihua Forced Labor Camp, Mr. An was burned, pricked with needles, force-fed laundry powder, shocked with electric batons, sexually assaulted, and is now on the verge of death.

On July 13, 2005, Mr. An, nearing his last breath, was released to his family. Mr. An, once having a normal weight of 165 jin (184 lbs), now weighs 85 jin (95 lbs). He is very thin and is only skin and bones. Because of being tied up and cuffed all the time, his arms are now stiff and cannot even bend.

Around noon on January 24, 2005, Mr. An went to the Babaishang Police Department in Daqing. In the hall, he came across policeman Gao Yufeng and kindly clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to him. He also gave Gao a booklet containing the facts about Falun Dafa. Gao Yufeng then loudly told other policemen, "An Senbiao has come here to spread the truth about Falun Gong." An Senbiao asked Gao, "Do you know the truth?" Gao asked, "How many copies of materials do you still carry with you?" While saying that, Gao started to search Mr. An's jacket pocket. At that time, other policemen also started to search Mr. An, "Turn in all that you carry," they said. One policeman immediately locked the gate. They dragged Mr. An to the office and confiscated all the materials he had brought along with him.

The police handcuffed Mr. An's hands behind his back, forced him into a police vehicle and took him to the Babaishang Police Station, where they sat him down in an iron chair. Gao Yufeng lit a cigarette, and placed the burning stick under Mr. An's nose while asking him to reveal the source of his truth materials. Police officer Liu Yanqing called E Jintai, the Party secretary of Mr. An's work-unit, and ordered the typist to search Mr. An's personal information on the computer. Soon, Liu Yanqing, E Jintai, the Division Party Secretary, and Wang Xizhong, the Team Party Secretary of No. 7 Production Division of No.2 Oil Extraction Plant went to Mr. An's home carrying the keys they had stolen from Mr. An and ransacked Mr. An's home for two hours. They confiscated Master's Picture, Dafa books, Lecture tapes, and other belongings.

At about 10 p.m. the same night, the Babaishang Police Department authorities sent Mr. An to Longfeng Detention Center in Daqing and placed him in confinement. The police put the 30-jin heavy shackles on him and then locked him to the ground ring. Mr. An could only sit, lie down, or stand, but couldn't take a step. Criminals guarded him at the door. Mr. An shouted day and night, "Falun Dafa is good!" The police crazily kicked the iron door and abused him constantly.

Two days later, in spite of the piercing cold in northern China, two prisoners poured cold water over Mr. An from the neck two times successively at about 2 or 3 a.m. in the morning. Mr. An's cotton-padded coat and trousers were drenched. Several days later, the coat and trousers finally dried due to his own body heat. In the morning, when the detention head and the police came to inspect, Mr. An asked them, "Do you have such a rule that the person under supervision can be doused with cold water?" The detention head, faking kindness, asked his second-in-charge, "Who did that?" Not long after, the police transferred Mr. An to the introspection room and asked him to introspect along with the criminals. Mr. An refused to cooperate and was forced to sit down. He firmly resisted and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" The police then sent him back to confinement.

One month later, Mr. An was transferred to the Daqing Forced Labor Camp to be persecuted. In the No.2 Division, two prisoners monitored him. From the second day of his arrival, Mr. An held a hunger strike to protest. Three times every day, the lawless personnel carried him to a cell, while the criminals pressed him and forcibly inserted tubes into his esophagus. When he shook his head to protest, the prisoners put in efforts to pull his ears and press his head, which resulted in the skin behind his ears bruising.

Over 20 days later, that is, on March 15, the police handcuffed Mr. An with "wolf teeth cuffs." Then they sent him along with two other practitioners from Daqing, Zhan Yinge and Zhang Bin, to the Suihua Forced Labor Camp for further persecution. The handcuffs around his wrists cut into his flesh and made it unbearably painful.

After he was sent to No.2 Division in the Suihua Forced Labor Camp, Mr. An started a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest and persecution. He was then brutally force-fed everyday. The police forced him to wear the prison uniform; which he refused. Shi Jian from the labor camp's 610 Office, along with other prisoners, then swarmed around him, punching and kicking him. They heavily kicked his abdominal area and smashed him against the wall. Shi Jian used a tailor-made needle to prick his feet (his feet still have the scars.) Every morning when they force-fed him, they first forcibly put the prison uniform on him, and then dragged him by the uniform to the infirmary. To prevent Mr. An from pulling out the tube, they handcuffed him each time to a bed and then inserted the tube into his stomach directly. The tube wasn't pulled out until he was released.

Shi Jian from the 610 Office, over 30 years old, maliciously and brutally persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. He shouted, "You Falun Gong accuse me. Can you make it? Haven't I been the same as usual?" Every time he was on duty, Shi Jian constantly and willfully pricked Mr. An on the chest, nipples, the neck and other areas. Mr. An suffered this torture three times, with each session lasting 20 minutes. Shi Jian also blinded Mr. An's eyes with cloth and fed him laundry powder. A criminal also did that to him, which resulted in his stomach burning and aching. A policeman surnamed Huang from the 610 Office in the forced labor camp, forced Mr. An to eat by shocking him with an electric baton. Policeman Liu Wei ordered prisoners to insult Master's image. Prisoner Li Wenlong actively participated in the persecution of practitioners, including even those who were not under his direct monitor. He would claim, "I represent the government to specially punish Falun Gong," and then abuse practitioners all day long. One night, Li Wenlong burned Mr. An's penis with hot water contained in a plastic bag. Prisoner Ma Tao cut Mr. An on the neck with his hands leaving scars which are visible to this day. The criminals also splashed water onto his eyes to prevent him from sleeping, burnt his abdominal area with plastic containing burning hot rice, forced him to watch videotapes slandering Master, and persistently asked him to give up his belief. Every time he tried to pull out the force-feeding tube from his esophagus, the criminals punched Mr. An on the chest and head. They also burnt his feet with cigarette lighters.

Mr. An's over-80-year-old mother, elder sister, and wife asked authorities for Mr. An's release. Li Daming, Director of the Babaishang Police Department, humiliated them by saying, "He violated the law and was only slightly punished. You are no good, thus your son cannot be good either." He also insulted Mr. An's wife, "You are not a good worker either." He then called the leaders of the No.2 Oil Plant, "An Senbiao's family is making trouble here. Why are you still keeping An Senbiao in your plant? Dismiss him." The police turned away Mr. An's family members using the excuse that the family made trouble and disturbed official affairs.

An Senbiao was persecuted nearly to death. He was sent to the hospital for a physical examination two times in a row. After the examination, the police tried to conceal his health condition. Later, his family learnt that Mr. An's body was in disorder and showed many illness symptoms.

At 3 p.m. on July 13, 2005, because of the appeals of Mr. An's family, practitioners at home and overseas, and all the righteous people, the Suihua Forced Labor Camp authorities set An Senbiao free. He was on the verge of death because of being illegally locked up for more than half a year. Now, An Senbiao is skin and bones, and is extremely weak. He once weighed 165 jin (184 lbs). Now, he weighs only 85 jin (95 lbs). Due to being constantly cuffed, he is not able to bend his arms.

The Suihua Forced Labor Camp is the base of the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in Heilongjiang Province. At its peak, it has locked up to more than 300 practitioners. It has underground cells that are especially used for the persecution of practitioners. Nowadays, more than 70 practitioners from all places, including Zhan Yinge and Zhang Bin from Daqing, are still locked up there. We hope the righteous people from all over the world, the human rights organizations, the World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG), and other organizations, can pay attention and help the practitioners obtain freedom as soon as possible, as well as bring the lawless persecutors to justice!
