New Zealand Practitioner: Making Progress while Establishing an Exercise Site

(Clearwisdom.net) First, I have to thank Master for his saving compassion. I can really feel that Master takes care of each Dafa practitioner at all times. Without Master's compassion, none of us could return home. I think whatever I do, I do for myself. However I might try, I cannot express my appreciation enough to Master. The purpose of my writing this article is to encourage more practitioners to establish exercise sites. Group study and exercise is the cultivation environment of Falun Dafa practitioners.

I emigrated to New Zealand in 2002. Since I was persecuted in China, my family didn't want me to join any Dafa activities at that time. And I also had the attachment of fear, so I could not step out in public. I have returned to joining in the Fa-rectification for almost two years now. During these two years, I think that the most significant thing I did was to establish an exercise site. And I also improved my Xinxing during the process.

There were several reasons for establishing the exercise site: 1. When I was clarifying the truth, some Chinese people said, "There are so many parks here, but we never see you do exercises there. You just go to the Chinese Consulate to disgrace our Chinese people." I couldn't respond at that time. We are right to protest against the persecution in front of the Chinese consulate, however I feel we also need to do the exercises more often in the parks. 2. I even walked down a wrong path during my personal cultivation, and I blamed that on the fact that there wasn't an exercise site near my location, so that I came out late. Comparing other people to myself, I wanted to create an environment for those practitioners who had just come from China and had more of a human mentality. In this environment, they can easily give up their attachments and follow Master back home. 3. Other practitioners helped during our studying the Fa and sharing experiences. For example, Mrs. Wei shared her experience in their exercise site, and encouraged me to establish a new exercise site. Ms. Sui gave me a small flag, and helped me write words on the cloth, etc.

When I stepped out, I gave up the attachment of fear. However, I still worried about myself and did not believe in myself. All in all, that was only because I lacked righteous thoughts. When I gave up the human mentality and really established the exercise site, it was so natural and smooth. It wasn't as difficult as what I had imagined. I simply invited other practitioners to come to join group exercise.

I recognize that the difficulty of establishing an exercise site is persistence. I even keep the exercise site to myself for several months. Later on, I talked about this exercise site during group Fa study, and more practitioners then joined me. When I thought about giving up the exercise site, Master's new articles always gave me confidence and support. Especially after distributing the article "Let Go of Human Attachments and Save the World's People" last year, I understood that the exercise sites are not only the best environment for doing our exercises, but also the best environment for clarifying the truth, for everyday people coming to obtain the Fa, and for bringing the new practitioners to begin cultivation.

During that time, I improved my tolerance and my confidence. I became more compassionate and understanding of other practitioners, I made progress in my understanding of Dafa, and I could understand the shortcomings of other practitioners - especially new ones. I improved in many, many things, step by step.

We came because of the Fa. It is so fortunate that we can study the Fa, become Master's disciples, and cultivate during the Fa-rectification. It is the most glorious state in the history of the universe. Everything that we do is for ourselves. I cannot say that I help to clarify the truth; I cannot say that I help to validate Dafa. All these things are arranged by Master. What we can do is remember, "I am a cultivator." When I realize that I am a practitioner, I know how I should follow Dafa.

The above is my understanding at this stage in my cultivation. Some of it is very shallow. Please correct any wrong points.
