Italian State TV Station Broadcasts a Special Program on the Persecution of Falun Gong

(Clearwisdom.net) On June 13, 2005, Italian State TV Station LA 7 broadcast a special program regarding the Falun Gong practitioners in China who have been brutally persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party. The program's title was "China's Shadow" and it lasted around an hour.

The producer of this special program, Ms. Flaminia Lubin, decided to produce this film after seeing an anti-torture exhibition held by Falun Gong practitioners in New York. She hoped to let Italians understand the cruel persecution of the Falun Gong practitioners.

Ms. Lubin interviewed Falun Gong practitioners from New York and Taiwan. She used lots of facts and photos to expose the persecution's brutality stirred up by the Chinese Communist Party. The special program told the story of Ms. Wang Lixuan and her son being persecuted to death, the story of Fadu and her mother, the persecution of US practitioners Amy Lee and Chen Gang, and she showed footage of Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners practicing the Falun Gong exercises in the early morning, as well as interviews. On the day of the program, the TV station ran frequent trailers for the show. A large number of viewers learned about the persecution through this program.

After the broadcast, the Italian Falun Gong practitioners received a lot of phone calls as well as emails. People expressed their astonishment of the persecution's severity in droves and their hopes to learn the exercises and to understand Falun Gong. The Italian version of Zhuan Falun [the main text of Falun Dafa] has been officially published.

On the same day, an identical report was also published in the Italian State Newspaper "UNITA."
