Germany: Falun Gong Information Day in Passau (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Passau is a city in southern Germany that borders Austria and Czech Republic. On the 13th of August 2005, Falun Gong practitioners held an information day in downtown Passau to tell local citizens about the Chinese Communist Party's brutal persecution against Falun Gong.

On the same day, this ancient city's Catholic cathedral held an international youth activity called "Friends All over the World". A huge number of tourists from different countries walked through the streets and by the Falun Gong information stall. It was an excellent opportunity to clarify the truth, and the yellow banner reading, "Falun Gong is a Righteous Way Cultivating Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" was very bright and eye-catching. Although there were only two people at the table, one demonstrating the exercises and the other handing out leaflets, we still attracted the attention of many pedestrians. People slowed down to watch us and find out more. Lots of people signed the petition calling for the release of Falun Gong practitioner Jiang Renzheng, who was locked up in a forced labor camp after he was sent back to China from Germany.

A gentleman told us that he would very soon be going on a pilgrimage and would visit many places. He wanted to tell people about China's human rights issues. He asked us if he could take more leaflets to hand out to more people.

Some of the Chinese tourists received materials that we had especially prepared for them. We hoped that through reading these materials, they would see through the Chinese Communist Party's propaganda and understand the truth about their six-year campaign of genocide against Falun Gong.
