(Clearwisdom.net) From July 9 to 10, a Falun Dafa Study Camp for
schoolteachers as well as the public was held at Xinyi Elementary School,
Keelung. This was the 4th Falun Dafa study camp of this kind held in
Keelung. The annual study camp has received praise from all circles in the past
three years for its profoundly positive effects on peoples' minds and bodies.
The organizer of this year's camp is schoolteacher Mr. Lin, who learned Falun
Dafa three years ago during the camp's first year. Having benefited so much from
the practice, Mr. Lin took the initiative to organize this year's study camp,
which was quickly approved by the city Education Department. The Education
Department also advertised the study camp on its website.
The program for the study camp include the following
activities:
- Video sessions: Falun Gong founder Master Li Hongzhi's
lectures and Falun Gong truth-clarifying films;
- Invited talks by professionals and scholars;
- Experience sharing among study camp participants;
- Learning the five sets of exercises of Falun Gong exercises
Ms. Chen shared her experience: She had come into contact with
all kinds of religions during her childhood. Though her hometown
has many renowned Buddhists, no one could answer her questions.
She went abroad later to study, and ran into Christianity. Though
she felt it had some good teachings, the different forms of
Christianity couldn't satisfy her. After she returned back to
Taiwan, a friend in Yilan gave her a copy of Zhuan Falun.
She felt very good about the teaching, but she didn't know that
Falun Gong teaches exercises as well. One year later, she learned
the exercises from the friend. When she gave birth to her baby,
she experienced many miracles. First of all, her newborn stopped
crying when he heard the teaching of Falun Dafa. Secondly, her
chronic back pain disappeared when she was able to take lightly
and not be upset about a conflict with a nurse after her labor in
the hospital. Ms. Chen is a renowned teacher in Taiwan and often
gives lectures in different cities. Since she started practicing
Falun Gong, she has become very energetic and no longer fears the
difficulty of traveling.
Professor Xiao from National Taiwan Ocean University lectured
on prehistoric culture. He presented a lot materials with photo
illustration: All the evidence supports the theory that
prehistoric cultures do exist and that ancient people had more
advanced technology than we do today. However, all those cultures
have been wiped out because of their eventual moral degeneration.
The lesson we should learn from this is that we must uplift our
morality.
Below are some of the participants' thoughts and experiences
during the study camp, which they shared with the group.
An elderly gentleman: "Morality is very important for
human beings, and Falun Gong is very good. On the contrary, the
Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is very bad. The CCP will be
eliminated for persecuting good people who cultivate
'Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.'"
A young lady: "My health was pretty bad and my boss
recommended that I learn Falun Gong. My father practices Taichi
and has looked into Falun Gong. He told me that the practice is
good. After practicing several months, I feel very good. I would
like to thank all the volunteers for their help."
An elderly lady: "Practicing Falun Dafa has brought me
both physical and spiritual health. Thank you, Master Li. I had
severe problems with my spinal cord and hypochondrium and was
tired of living in this world. My daughter is the principal of an
elementary school and she told me to practice Falun Gong. Now I go
to her school to practice every morning. Thank you!"
Schoolteacher Ms. Zhou from Taipei sang a song she wrote to
thank Falun Dafa. The education administrator of her school
recommended that she attend this study camp. "After this
two-day camp. I feel so good and Falun Dafa is great!" Ms.
Zhou said.
A small girl attended the study camp with his father, she said:
"Daddy said in the past that we should not believe in things
we're not certain about. However, Daddy learned Falun Gong and
asked me to learn as well. He said Falun Dafa is good. I tried it,
and I now know that Falun Dafa is indeed very good."
