Ms. Yang Lijuan Disappears After Being Arrested by Jilin Provincial National Security Police

(Clearwisdom.net) At about 7:00 a.m. on August 24, 2005, four Jilin City police officers broke into Ms. Yang Lijuan's home, confiscated her personal belongings, and took her away. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Yang Lijuan is 50 years old. She was the director of a daycare center in the Jilin Railway Residential District. She started practicing Falun Gong in 1996.

After the persecution of Falun Gong began in July 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong. She was arrested and held in a detention center, where she experienced horrific torture because she refused to identify herself. She was exposed to the freezing winter temperatures without a coat, and a police officer tortured her, using an electric baton to shock her all over her body. Fortunately, she was able to walk out of the detention center using righteous thoughts.

On August 24, 2005, at around 7:00 a.m., three officers of the Jilin Municipal National Security Police and Jiang Zhuo, the precinct police officer of the Democracy Police Station at the Changyi Branch of the Jilin City Police Department, broke into Ms. Yang Lijuan's home and began to confiscate her personal belongings, including Dafa materials and an MP3 player, and took her away. On her way out the door, Ms. Yang told her 81-year-old mother, "Mom, please remember this official's name. He's responsible for my life."

When her mother asked for the name of one of the National Security Police officials, the man started to slander Dafa, and the mother told him, "Don't say that. Falun Gong practitioners are good people, please remember that Falun Dafa is good."

On the afternoon of August 24, Ms. Yang's mother went to see Jiang Zhuo at the Democracy Police Station to ask for her daughter's release, but Jiang Zhuo wasn't there, and she still has no clue where her daughter is.

Presently, Ms. Yang's 81-year-old mother lives with her disabled husband, who requires constant care.
