Copenhagen Post: Chinese Procurator-General Risks Investigation (Excerpt)
(Clearwisdom.net) On Sunday, August 28, 2005, renowned Denmark lawyer
Tyge Trier filed a lawsuit on behalf of Falun Gong practitioners against Jia
Chunwang, procurator general of CCP Supreme People's Procuratorate
and one of the central figures in China's Gestapo-like 610 Office --
for crimes contravening the UN Convention Against Torture. Jia Chunwang was sued
the same day he arrived in Denmark to partake in an international conference for
prosecutors being held in Copenhagen. Copenhagen Post reported on August 29 that Denmark has been asked to
investigate allegations against China's procurator-general of torture and human
rights breaches against thousands of Falun Gong members. Jia will be in Denmark to attend and speak at an international conference of
prosecutors in Copenhagen. The Danish chapter of meditation group Falun Gong is
taking advantage of his trip here to request Danish authorities to investigate
his alleged persecution of the group in China, national daily Berlingske Tidende
reported. August 29, 2005
