Northern California: Falun Gong Practitioners Call for an End to the Persecution during Hu's Visit to North America (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) During Hu Jintao's visit to North America, Falun Gong practitioners from San Francisco conducted a live re-enactment of the torture methods used on fellow practitioners in China on September 10 at the Union Square in San Francisco.

Practitioners also held a truth-clarification photo exhibit and collected signatures to call on Hu to end the persecution of Falun Gong and release American citizen Charles Li, who is still imprisoned in China. Practitioners also called upon international society to reach out their helping hands to rescue children who have been orphaned in the persecution of Falun Gong.

Falun Gong practitioner Sherry Zhang said that Hu Jintao has taken the post as the Chinese President for more than three years. Unfortunately, the ruthless suppression against Falun Gong, which was initiated by Jiang Zemin and the Chinese Communist Party, is still going on. The current situation looks peaceful on the surface, but the persecution has in fact been escalating. From minghui.ca
