Hu Jintao Arrives in New York - Falun Gong Practitioners Appeal in Front of Hu's Hotel (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Secretary-General of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Hu Jintao arrived in New York on the afternoon of September 13, to attend the 2005 United Nations' World Summit. Falun Gong practitioners gathered in front of the Waldorf Hotel to call on Hu Jintao to immediately end the persecution of Falun gong and bring perpetrators, including Jiang Zemin, to justice.

According to a report from Radio Free Asia (RFA) on September 13, the head of CCP Hu Jintao left Mexico and arrived in New York on the afternoon on September 13. Hu met with President Bush at 4:30 p.m. People from Tibet organization and Falun Gong supporters began their protests as early as 9:30 a.m., when they unfurled banners. Some people from the Chinese Consulate also held some activities.

Police officers told Falun Gong representatives that their position should allow them to see Hu's motorcade no matter which direction it came from.

A Falun Gong representative said that they had just discussed practitioners' activities with the police that the activities are legal and reasonable. There should be no problem. "We came here at 9:00 a.m. and we'll stay here to appeal. We hope that Hu Jintao will be able to see the three banners we prepared for him."

Falun Gong practitioners' banners read, "Bring Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing, and Zhou Yongkang to Justice," "Bring the Vicious Police and Evildoers Who Persecute Falun Gong to Justice," "Hu Jintao: The Time that Gods and People Give You Is Limited."

A truck from the Quitting-the-CCP Service Center slowly drove around the Waldorf Hotel. Big characters can be read on the truck, "Read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, Abandon the CCP, Four Million People Quit the CCP and Have Ensured their Safety."
