Practitioner Qin Wei from Beijing was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and is now being held at a prison in Qinghe Town, Beijing.

2. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Yin Xiuying and Zhang Xiong Arrested for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Material

On August 4, 2005, practitioners Yin Xiuying and Zhang Xiong from Botou City rented a van with a driver to transport goods to Huanghua City. They distributed some Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials along the way. Police from Huanghua City caught them and put them into a detention center, and impounded the rented van. Police even put the van driver into the detention center. So far the two practitioners and the van driver are still being held.

3. [Xiangfan City, Hubei Province] Liu Xianxiu Arrested for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials

Between 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. on August 9, 2005, practitioner Liu Xianxiu from Xiangfan City went the Fancheng District Boiler Factory residential area and distributed some truth-clarifying materials. She was arrested and is now being held at the Migong Police Station.

4. [Pulandian City, Liaoning Province] Zhou Benxu Arrested for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials

Mr. Zhou Benxu is a resident of Daliujia Town, Pulandian City. In the evening of August 13, 2005 he distributed some truth-clarifying materials and was arrested. Right now he is being held at Daliujia Town Police Station. His home was ransacked that same night.

5. [Hongjiang City, Hunan Province] Xue Baoyu Arrested and Sentenced to Forced Labor

Practitioner Ms. Xue Baoyu, 41 years old, was an accountant employed at the Hongjiang City Archives Bureau. On June 30, 2005 Yang Zhubin, director of the bureau, saw Xue Baoyu carrying a bag. He grabbed the bag and asked her what was in it. Xue Baoyu told him, "Don't grab, this is a prophetic book entitled Tuibeitu (Push Back Picture, written by Li Chufeng from the Tang Dynasty). I can give you a copy if you want." Yang Zhubin knew she was a practitioner and the material is related to the facts about Falun Gong, so he said, "Let me take it to the '610 Office'. If it's related to Falun Gong, I'll give it to the 610 Office. If not, I'll give it back to you."

On July 1, 2005, Yang Zhubin led some policemen from the "610 Office" and police department and ransacked Xue Baoyu's workplace and found some Dafa materials and discs in her drawer. They then immediately went to her home and found some truth-clarifying materials, discs, banners, Teacher's photos, and copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Yi Manrong, deputy director of the Archive Bureau, also participated in the ransacking and signed the search warrant. Xue Baoyu was taken from home to the City Police Department to be interrogated. Later she was put into the Anjiang Baihunao Detention Center in Hongjiang City.

On the afternoon of July 4, personnel from the "610 Office" demanded that Xue Baoyu's family hand in 10,000 Yuan as so-called "deposit money" for putting her under surveillance around the clock for a year. Her family couldn't afford it and refused to pay. The next morning, when Xue Baoyu's parents, brother and sister-in-law went to the police department to demand Xue Baoyu's release, the personnel said Yang Zhubin, the Archives Bureau director, needs to file a petition for her to be released on probation, and then they released her. On July 11, Xue Baoyu went back to work.

At around 5:00 p.m. on August 8, police from Hongjiang City's "610 Office" forcibly arrested Xue Baoyu at work and sent her directly to the Baimalong Women's Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, and forbade her to contact her family.

6. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] "610 Office" Personnel Arrest Practitioner Xiao Jiying

Practitioner Xiao Jiying is from No.2 Team, Tanan Village, Yinfeng Town, Shifang City, Sichuan Province. On August 5, 2005, personnel from the "610 Office," Liao Mingchong, the head of public security team, and Bai Wenxiang, head of the Village, broke into Xiao Jiying's home and arrested him/her.

7. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Still Being Held at the Yaojia Detention Center

Currently, more than a dozen practitioners are still being held at the Dalian City Yaojia Detention Center, including Tian Yunhai, Sun Liwen, Jin Tingdong, Zang Lianmei, Cui Jian, Xiao Wang, Hu Shuqin sisters, Sun Yan, and Ma Xueqing.

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Li Fengling and Liu Huayu Sentenced to Forced Labor

Practitioner Ms. Li Fengling from Shenyang City was sentenced to three years of forced labor and is currently being held at the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. The police are not allowing any family visits. Practitioner Ms. Liu Huayu from the Dadong District in Shenyang City was sentenced to four years of imprisonment and is being held at the Dalian City Prison.

9. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Quan Peijun Taken into a Forced Labor Camp and a Brainwashing Class Afterwards

On January 11, 2001, practitioner Mr. Quan Peijun from the Shangjie District, Zhengzhou City was arrested and sentenced to one year of forced labor for distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials. After his detention term expired, Quan's employer unit refused to rehire him; instead, they paid fees to send Quan to a brainwashing class. At present, Quan is being held at the Wanqing Brainwashing Class in the Xili Lake area in Zhengzhou City.

10. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested and Their Homes Ransacked for Clarifying the Truth of Falun Dafa

During the evening of August 2, 2005, practitioners Ms. Liu Fengmei, Ms. Li Aixiu, Song Xinhui and Ms. Li Zhifen from Xiaoshuibo Village, the Longdu Street Community, Zhucheng City went out to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa. A policeman surnamed Sun, around 30 years old, followed, reported and arrested them and put them into a criminal detention center. On August 3, policemen ransacked their homes.

11. [Qishan County, Shaanxi Province] Zhao Gencang Held at the County Detention Center

In April 2005, practitioner Zhao Gencang, over 60 years old, from Gongsi Village, Daying Township, Qishan County, Shaanxi Province, was arrested and is still being held at the County Detention Center.

In November 2004, police arrested Zhao Gencang for his distributing Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials at a local market. Zhao Gencang went on a hunger strike to protest and walked out of the detention center ten days later.

Practitioner Ms. Liu Gaixian from Qishan County, Shaanxi Province has been sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment in the Xi'an City Women's Prison.

12. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Wu Xiaohang Arrested for Clarifying the Truth of Falun Gong to His Colleagues

Mr. Wu Xiaohang, 40 years old, is a teacher at the Taian Secondary School in the Dongxing District, Neijiang City.

On July 19, 2005 Wu Xiaohang clarified the truth to Liu Zhengping, the school's associate principal, but Liu Zhengping reported him. As a consequence, persons from the Dongxing District National Security Team headed by Huang Junzhong put him into the Dongxing District Detention Center.

13. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Yan Tingzhen Detained Separately from Others in the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp

At the end of June 2005, personnel from the Harbin City National Security Team arrested practitioner Ms. Yan Tingzhen and sentenced her to two years of forced labor. She is being held at the Wanjia Forced Labor Camp. Because she refused to give up her belief, the forced labor camp authorities didn't allow her family to see her. They said, "She is too stubborn, so no one may see her in three months." It was reported that Yan Tingzhen is being detained separately right now and all information about her is blocked.

On July 8, 2005, Zheng Xin'an, the chief of the Kun District National Security Team in Baotou City, led seven officers from the Youyi Police Station and went to Yang Yurong's house. They arrested her, ransacked her home, and confiscated materials including the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. Yang Yurong is now being incarcerated at the Kun District Detention Center.
