Rescue Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Sun Liwen from Dalian City

The Heishijiao Police arrested Dalian Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Sun Liwen, 32. Mr. Sun's elderly, terminally ill mother wanted to visit him, but the police denied her request. Mr. Sun's home telephone is 86-411-84698048.

Mr. Sun attended the Dalian Construction Technical School from 1991 to 1995. After graduation, he worked for the Dalian Fifth Construction Company. He started practicing Falun Dafa in 1997 and was laid off in 1999. After the persecution started on July 20, 1999, Mr. Sun went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Dafa. He was detained in the Dalian Detention Center. He was transferred to Dalian Drug Rehabilitation Center and later to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp for one year of imprisonment. At the end of that year, he was sentenced to 3 years of forced labor.

On the evening of June 30, 2005, the National Security Team ordered the Dalian Heishijiao Police to get Mr. Sun to come to the police station. His family feared that the police were deceiving them, so Mr. Sun' brother went with him to the police station. Two hours later, the police came to ransack Mr. Sun's home and tell his family, "Mr. Sun Liwen has been arrested."

Mr. Sun's brother recollects that Mr. Sun was arrested upon arriving at the police station. The police then ransacked Mr. Sun's home and confiscated his computer, his CDs and other items. After the event, Mr. Sun's family went to ask that the items be returned. However, only the computer was returned. Mr. Sun's relatives repeatedly demanded the other items, but their demands were in vain.

Mr. Sun's mother has malignant breast cancer. Cancerous cells have spread to her lungs and bone marrow. The persecution of Mr. Sun aggravated his mother's illness. Thinking that she could lose her life at any moment, she hoped to visit her son. However, the police refused to allow her to see him, despite her terminal illness.

Mr. Sun is currently detained in Dalian City's Yaojia Detention Center. The National Security Team has transferred his case to the Ganjingzi Procuratorate. Mr. Sun has appealed to the higher court.

Mr. Sun has been repeatedly persecuted for assimilating to the principles of Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance. We urge Dalian City citizens to extend their support to Mr. Sun, to condemn the police for its terrorist actions and to stop the evil from persecuting Falun Gong.
