(Clearwisdom.net) On the 17th of September, practitioners from the Uppsala region of Sweden held an anti-torture exhibition and a Falun Gong exercise demonstration in Uppsala, in order to inform the local people about Falun Gong and the ongoing persecution against the practice in China.
Uppsala is a city with a long history that lies fairly close to Stockholm. The town has more than 200,000 inhabitants and about 500 of them are Chinese exchange students who are studying at the well-known Uppsala University.
Activities were held along the main shopping street. The contrast between the harmonious exercise demonstration and the brutal torture exhibition moved the hearts of many people. Large numbers of people stopped to watch the scene. They had the chance to take leaflets and sign a petition calling for an end to the human rights abuses against Falun Gong practitioners.

Citizens sign a petition to oppose the persecution
Many people asked the same questions: "Why are such things happening in this world?" "How I can help you?" Practitioners answered people's questions and told them about why the CCP persecutes Falun Gong practitioners in China and exposed the malevolent CCP's nature of anti-humanity to awaken people's sense of justice. Many people signed their names to a petition.
After learning the truth, one girl asked her friends to come and sign their names on the petition. One gentleman signed his name and then called his relatives and told them to come and have a look at the exhibition. Some people not only signed their names but also left their addresses and telephones. A young couple wrote down two addresses, and told a practitioner, "When we don't live here, you can find us from that address."
We came in contact with many Chinese people throughout the activities. Two students from Mainland China accepted leaflets and Video-CDs as they talked with practitioners. When asked if they knew about the current situation that more than 4.4 million people have withdrawn from the CCP, they said, "Do not forget that we are not in China any more, we can see and know everything now. The society has already reached the information age; the evil CCP cannot cheat Chinese people in the long run."
