After reading the Clearwisdom article entitled, "Offering People Salvation with Sincere Concern and With All of Our Heart" on September 13, (http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2005/9/13/64878.html) I had a few thoughts on saving mainland Chinese officials. I would like to share them with fellow practitioners. If there is anything inappropriate, please kindly point it out and correct it.

Master said,

"Good or evil comes from a person's spontaneous thought, and the thought at that moment can bring about different consequences." (Zhuan Falun)

When we are clarifying the facts to Chinese officials, we should not stand on our point of view. We should see things from their perspective and truly hope for the best for them. Only then can the effect of our effort be good.

For example, when we are clarifying the facts to some governmental departments, we should not say "Look how good we are, and how bad the things you guys are doing are. You are doing bad deeds and will be punished." If we talk like this, they will feel like we are accusing them and consequently will not accept it. They also will not be able to feel our practitioners' compassion.

On the other hand, if we are standing totally in their shoes and say to them something like, "I love every Chinese person, including you. I hope you have a good future. But I have seen you persecuting Falun Gong without knowing the truth, because of the lies spread by Jiang Zemin. If Falun Gong's good name is restored in the future, how much damage would that bring to you? I don't want to see this, that's why I am telling you the truth. I want to help you. Although I may be in danger, I still want to help you." If that's what we say to them, I think the results would be better.

Master said,

"I often say that if a person is free of any personal notions, isn't motivated by self-interest, and is truly looking to benefit others, then when he points out another person's shortcoming or tells the other person what's right, that person will be moved to tears."("Teaching the Fa at the Conference in Singapore")

In addition, Master said in "Teaching the Fa in the City of Chicago,"

"The only thing you have a role in is saving people."

My personal understanding is that we are not only seeking justice for ourselves. Our true purpose is to save people. If we do not have any impure thoughts in our minds, the results will be better.
