Taiwan: Falun Gong Student Organization Helps to Welcome New Students to High School (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) The annual ceremony to welcome new students to National Ilan Commercial Vocational High School was held in Siwei Hall on September 7, 2005. The Falun Gong Student Organization put on a captivating drama to introduce Falun Gong as part of the festivities.

In Ilan County, there are Falun Gong Student Organizations in Huey Deng High School, National Ilan Commercial Vocational High School and National Lotung Industrial Vocational High School. More than ten teachers and one principal practice Falun Gong. Several group exercise demonstrations have been given at large celebration activities of schools. But what they did at the welcome-new-student program in Ilan Commercial Vocational School was very unique.

Stage Drama Breaks New Ground of Fa-Introduction

The prelude of the drama is "Falun Dafa Spreads in Divine Land." It recounted the wide-spread of Falun Dafa from its introduction in 1992 to 1999. Because of Falun Gong's outstanding effects in improving health, more than one hundred million people learned Falun Gong within seven years. And it was spread only by word of mouth. Falun Gong practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, stress virtue and Xinxing improvement, and strive to be good people.

Teachers and students work together to put on the prelude "Falun Dafa Spreads in Divine Land."

The second part of the drama was "Persecution by Jiang's Regime." It recounted how Jiang and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), out of jealousy of Falun Gong's popularity, launched the overwhelming suppression of Falun Gong, fabricated lies and systematically carried out the genocidal policy of "Defame their reputations, bankrupt them financially, and destroy them physically."

The third part is "Falun Dafa around the World." A narration stated how Falun Gong practitioners in China and overseas dauntlessly step out to tell people Falun Dafa is good and the persecution is wrong. They spend their spare time and pay for their own expenses on truth-clarification activities. Their persistent efforts have spread Falun Gong to more than seventy countries in the past six years.

Exercise demonstration

After their drama, practitioners played a flash movie and "When Sea Water Turns Sweet," a song written by a western Falun Gong practitioner. Students, directors and the principal were all absorbed by practitioners' pure field. They were impressed and rewarded practitioners with waves of applause.

Warm Feedback

Before the program, a teacher asked the sponsor of the Falun Gong Student Organization, "I heard that people who practice Falun Gong set themselves on fire. Is it true?" The sponsor was shocked at how the CCP's lies had poisoned the minds of Taiwanese too. She told her colleague how video analysis proved that the event was staged by the government and gave her some truth-clarification materials to read.

After the drama, some students asked the sponsor, "How long ago did the persecution of Falun Gong happen?" The sponsor told them it is still happening in China. The persecution is actually much crueler than what was depicted on stage. The students widened their eyes and couldn't believe it was still happening. The sponsor told them more details. As a matter of fact, more than two thousand seven hundred people have died from the persecution.

When students greeted Falun Gong practitioners later in the school, they said, "Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good" instead of "Hi" and "Bye."

Students learned about the persecution through this activity. The seeds of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance have been planted in their young hearts.
