Ms. Xie Xiuying Severely Injured in Beating by Prison Guard Xiao Lin at the Harbin Women's Prison (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Xie Xiuying from Puyang Farm, Suibin County, Heilongjiang Province was abducted and illegally sentenced to three years of imprisonment in 2001 because she distributed truth clarifying materials. She was detained in Harbin Women's Prison, where she suffered severe torture. Each day she was forced to perform military drills and do slave labor. If she was not able to finish the required quota of forced labor, she was deprived of sleep and given little food. The prison guards beat, kicked, and shocked her with electric batons if her movements in the military drills did not comply with their requirements.

At the end of 2003, prison guard Xiao Lin ruthlessly kicked Xie Xiuying while torturing her. Her left leg became swollen from calf to thigh as a result of being kicked. The prison guards took her to No. 2 Hospital in Harbin for a medical examination, forcing her family members to deposit 5000 yuan for medical treatment and saying that her leg might be amputated. Xie Xiuying refused the amputation.

The injury on Xie Xiuying's left leg festered and abscessed not long after the prison guard kicked her.
