By a Dafa practitioner from Harbin City

(Clearwisdom.net) Because I seldom communicate with fellow practitioners, I only learned yesterday what happened to fellow practitioner A from Hegang City. I would like to share my understanding on this.

Fellow practitioner A firmly believed in Dafa while she was in jail. She was determined, and other practitioners admired her. After she was released, she failed to maintain good xinxing when others affirmed and praised her. She fell into evil hands. After this practitioner was released the authorities constantly followed her. Why?

First, she did not eliminate the evil with her righteous thoughts. In other words, she did not find the cause of the evil's persecution and eradicate it, thereby leaving no reason for evil to persecute her again. Because practitioner A firmly believed in Dafa while she was in prison, and strongly opposed the persecution, under the protection of Master she left the prison. Unfortunately her resolute behavior in prison made her a hero among some practitioners who did not clearly understand the Fa principles or who had only a perceptual understanding of the Fa.

Since this practitioner did not realize that this tribulation was caused by her strong attachment, she unconsciously cooperated with the old forces in creating a terrifying circumstance in ordinary society, giving an impression to people that "if you learn Dafa you'll be persecuted." She played a role in harming the reputation of Dafa in the overall situation of Dafa. She also failed to demonstrate the beauty of Dafa and achieve a harmonious and unshakable state. If she had understood this she would have felt that she had done wrong and had not lived up to the requirements of Master and the Fa. Some practitioners think that they are suffering the persecution for the Fa, but Dafa does not need anyone to suffer and our Master is suffering for all sentient beings.

Second, after this practitioner was released she always attended Fa conferences, describing her experience in prison. It is said that she attended over a hundred Fa conferences. One fellow practitioner said, "I'd like to hear the story of her magnificent feats. Many practitioners who had not stepped forward did step forward after listening to her lecture, as she provided a boost." Those practitioners who did not step forward then stepped forward after hearing her magnificent stories because their emotions were stirred. Could it be safe if they did the three things driven by emotion?

If one follows Master Li's teaching and steps forward, then he harmonizes himself with the cosmos's Fa and the cosmos also chooses him. Dafa practitioners cannot validate the Fa based on emotion. The lives created by Dafa are rational. Only Dafa practitioners who have enlightened to different principles of the Fa can protect the cosmos at different levels. Ordinary people can be sympathetic toward Dafa and Dafa practitioners on the basis of emotion, while we should treat fellow practitioners and the evil persecution rationally. We should understand the Fa and verify the Fa rationally.

Third, in every lecture this practitioner said that it's very evil in prison and that the policemen there were extremely vicious, exaggerating the evil circumstance there. In those moving stories there was a place for evil. It played a great role of contrast. The stronger the evil, the more heroism she had and the more practitioners admired her. The evil environment therefore became the birthplace of heroism. Everywhere she went, she talked. The evil followed her like a shadow and appeared in her thoughts and words, and was never apart from her. She not only did not negate the old forces but the old forces played an indispensable role in her magnificent stories. Without the old forces her stories could not come into existence.

I personally suggest that in disclosing the persecution to ordinary society that we advise them to make a clear distinction between right and wrong and to position themselves properly. When sharing with fellow practitioners, we should mostly summarize the lessons, find out the reasons for failing and root out our own attachments. We then learn from each other, avoid harm and any losses to Dafa, and really safeguard Dafa.
