At Age 72 I Learned How to Use a Computer in Six Weeks

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a practitioner from Changchun City and I distribute truth clarification materials to the 30 or so practitioners near my home.

A while ago it became very difficult to obtain materials after trouble surfaced at the informational materials site. Practitioners who were familiar with computers suggested that I set up a materials center at my home. I was concerned. I am 72 years old and have only three years of education. I don't know pinyin, the Chinese phonetic system. Would I be able to shoulder the task? But then I thought, "I am a Falun Dafa practitioner. With Teacher beside me and my strong determination, I must be able to do it." I spent my savings of 5000 yuan for the computer and printing equipment. When the new computer equipment arrived, I looked awkwardly at it, feeling intimidated. But I immediately realized that I must overcome these feelings, so I said to Teacher in my mind, "As a disciple, I must learn it. I ask Teacher to strengthen me so that I can learn it. Dafa needs me to learn it."

It was very difficult at the beginning. I couldn't remember anything that another practitioner taught me, and my hands wouldn't move as I wanted them to. I started to feel that it was impossible for me to continue. But with strong righteous thoughts, I refused to let myself harbor any thought of impossibility. During this time, the practitioner helping me asked me three times about my ability to learn computers. Without hesitation, I answered "Yes, I will learn it!" three times. This righteous thought reinforced my own confidence and that of the practitioner who was teaching me. I didn't know anything about pinyin, so the practitioner equipped the computer with a multi-purpose pen. With Teacher's help, in six weeks time, I am now able to browse the Minghui (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net) and Pure Insight websites to download articles, to print articles in Word or PDF formats, to send the CCP withdrawal declarations to the Minghui website, to submit articles to Minghui for publishing, and to copy CDs using the computer. Basically, I can run the informational materials center alone.

Falun Dafa gave me the wisdom. My fellow practitioner encouraged me to share this experience, which manifests the magnificence of Falun Dafa. I hope it will help other practitioners. This is not a task that just anyone can accomplish.
