Sweden: Exhibition of a Thousand Lotus Flowers (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) An exhibition entitled "A Thousand Lotus Flowers" was held in a public library in Stockholm, Sweden for the first time between August 20th and August 30th.

In the exhibition, practitioners related a twelve year-old girl called Evelina's dream of making a thousand paper Lotus Flowers to end the persecution in China during last Easter. They also talked about the children of Falun Gong practitioners who are persecuted in China, and let the children who helped fold the paper flowers during recent months in Sweden know about honesty, goodness, and forgiveness.

Practitioners told the children at the exhibition about Lotus Flowers, which are pure and unpolluted though they grow up from the mud. They also told stories about cultivators and lotus flowers and displayed paintings and poems related to lotus flowers. On the round table in the middle of the exhibition room, there were all kinds of paper Lotus Flowers, on everyone of which was written, "The world needs Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance."

In the exhibition, there were photos of children from Sweden, Finland, and Switzerland practising the Falun Gong exercises, folding Lotus Flowers and taking part in dance performances. On each photo, there was a description of the children's understanding of Lotus Flowers, cultivation practice, and the persecution of Falun Gong. There was also a journal created by a class of children who practise together in Taiwan.

Many people read newspapers and borrow books from the library. Children and their parents often visit the children's department. They all saw the many Lotus Flowers and leaflets on a long table at the corner of the exhibition room. People could take them by themselves. People in charge of the library told me many times that this exhibition was very popular, "People all said they were very beautiful. Children often walked and ran under the paper Lotus Flowers which were hung in the air."

When I fetched my children after work every day, teachers, parents, and children all told me that they had seen the Lotus Flowers exhibition. The Nordic people love children. They pay attention to the environment for children. This exhibition demonstrated the cruel persecution happening in China through children's stories. It showed the beauty of "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance" through children's voices.

My two children and I went to the library to teach how to fold Lotus Flowers. My seven year-old girl took a cushion and tape recorder to the small square in front of the library by herself. She demonstrated the fifth Falun Gong exercise. Passers-by approached to watch her and came to take Lotus Flowers and leaflets. My little girl practised for fifteen minutes. When she came to me, her leg was numb but she was happy. I asked her about the feeling of practising the exercise on the way home. She said, "It was great! I felt hot after practising it."

This exhibition will be held in other cities in Sweden.
