Shanghai Falun Dafa Practitioner Lu Weidong Illegally Sentenced to Prison

On November 28, 2004, Falun Dafa practitioner Lu Weidong, from Hongkou District in Shanghai, was arrested and detained for more than eight months by policemen from the Baoshan District Police Station. In August 2005, Lu Weidong was illegally sentenced to a three and a half-year term in prison. He immediately appealed this unlawful sentence and went on a hunger strike to protest. As a result, he was taken to Shanghai Lanqiao Prison Hospital on August 15, 2005.
