By a practitioner in Heilongjiang Province

(Clearwisdom.net) A female Falun Gong practitioner was sent to a forced labor camp twice and her son was forced to drop out of school. Later her younger son was clarifying the truth of Falun Gong in a vocational school and was terrorized, becoming mentally disoriented. The following is their story.

I am 48 years old, living in Tangyuan County, Heilongjiang Province. Over 10 years ago, before I became a Dafa practitioner, I divorced my husband. After that, I had to struggle to raise my two children. I had many chronic ailments, but had no money for medical treatment. Falun Dafa taught me to be a good person according to the principle of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. Through practicing Falun Gong, my xinxing improved and I became healthy. I feel truly grateful for Falun Dafa and Teacher. However, the Chinese Communist Party banned this great practice. Because of practicing Falun Gong, I was twice detained and sent to forced labor camps, where I suffered greatly.

At about 6:00 p.m. on January 14, 2001, local police station chief Li Yukui and five other policemen broke into my home with no legal grounds. They forced me into a police vehicle.

After arriving at the police station, a police officer named Deng Jian from the Political Security Section kicked me twice. Also, Zhou Tiangang slapped me twice on the face, but I was not afraid. I just told them calmly that Falun Dafa is good. But they did not listen. They tried to force me to tell them who else I knew that practiced Falun Gong. I told them nothing.

So the police started to torture me with all kinds of cruel instruments. They shocked me many times with electric batons on my head and all over my body, which caused me to feel dizzy and my blood pressure to go up. I had bruises all over my face and body due to the beatings. Lin Fengqiu, a deputy police chief, beat me so badly that he even felt pain in his arms. He claimed that the police would hire two workers whose regular job was to shovel soil to beat me. They said, "Our director told us, if you won't tell us about other Falun Gong practitioners, we will have you killed here."

I did not yield. The police then said, "I don't believe that I can't open your mouth." I was handcuffed onto the heating duct for five consecutive days and nights and endured all kinds of torture. My legs and feet were swollen. I could not even put on my shoes. There were so many blisters and wounds on my feet that I could barely walk.

When the police saw that I would still not tell them anything under such conditions, they were afraid of taking responsibility. The police captain, Fu Enlin, asked of the director, "Who will take the responsibility if she is beaten to death?" After that, they did not beat me as hard. I knew it was Teacher who was protecting me. The police then sent me to a detention center. After the Chinese New Year, they sent me to the Jiamusi Forced Labor Camp and detained me there for a year.

My older son was only 15 years old that year, but he also suffered because of the policy of "guilt by association." When I was in the detention center, he was also illegally arrested and taken to the police station. The police did not allow him to see me. Just for saying "Falun Dafa is good," the policeman, Fu Enlin, slapped him on his face over thirty times. His cheeks were swollen. The police even said, "If you were not a minor, you would be sent to the labor camp as well."

On May 10, 2002, Tangyuan County Police Department and 610 Office went to the villages and abducted people in order to fulfill their quotas. Thus, they took me away again with no legal grounds. I was sent to the detention center for the second time, after which I was sent to the forced labor camp for two years.

During my second detention in the labor camp, my two children, who were just students in junior high school, endured great suffering. They were both doing well academically and had good characters. Just because I practiced Falun Gong, they were forced to drop out of school and lost the opportunity of going to high school and college. After I was arrested, my two children had to leave home and suffered a lot. Their tender hearts were hurt greatly.

My younger son was going to a vocational school and he was doing very well there. One day a student asked him what Falun Gong was and what exactly the Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation was about. My son just told him the truth, "Falun Gong can help people to be healthy and teaches people to be good according to the principle of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. The Self-Immolation on Tiananmen Square was staged by the Chinese Communist regime. Real Falun Gong practitioners would not do that..." But he was cursed and beaten by another student who did not know the truth. That student also threatened to tell the school authorities, and have my son expelled from school. He also notified the police to have him arrested. Because my son had the painful memories of my detentions and prior home invasions by the police, he was quite frightened and unnerved after he heard the threats from that student. As a result, he suffered mental trauma.
