Be Diligent in Doing the Three Things to Save More Sentient Beings

(Clearwisdom.net) I began to practice Falun Gong on June 20, 1998. On this day, I got up early and came across a few Falun Dafa practitioners. Out of curiosity, I stopped to find out how these exercises were done. Following the exercise music, I began to mimic their movements. Although this was my first attempt at learning the exercises, I was very serious about it. By the time I started the third set of exercises, I felt very good from head to toe, and a warm comfortable energy current permeated my body. In addition, I could feel a wave of cold, negative energy rapidly dissipating from the sole of my right foot. In this way, the numbness that had plagued me for more than thirty years since giving birth miraculously disappeared. Later, I had the opportunity to read Zhuan Falun, and from that point on, I did not want to put the book away. I wanted to follow the teachings of "Truthfulness-Compassion and Forbearance" to become a better person. This was what I was looking for in my life.

After April 25, 1999 public security bureau officials routinely interfered with our exercises and harassed us at our practice site. On July 20, 1999 the official persecution of Falun Dafa began. In early 2000, I traveled to Beijing to validate the Fa. In this process, I met many other practitioners from various parts of China and overseas. These meetings and the experiences shared by those practitioners strengthened my faith in Dafa. After my return from Beijing, the police arrested me and sent me to the detention center. I was locked up for one month and illegally fined 5000 yuan. In this environment, comparing myself with other veteran practitioners, I realized that what I could remember of the Fa was far too little. With their assistance, I committed Master's Lunyu and Hong Yin to memory. I vividly remember the night when I recited "Lunyu" at least thirty times with another practitioner. We truly immersed ourselves into the Fa. In spite of the interference, we continued to be firm and determined in our belief in Master. Our hearts for cultivation in Dafa could not be moved.

From the year 2001 on, when Dafa disciples were encouraged to send forth righteous thoughts, I would get up every day before five a.m. to send forth righteous thoughts, study the Fa and do the exercises. At night I would study the Fa until midnight before retiring to bed, yet I felt all this was insufficient. At noon, I would prepare lunch only after sending forth righteous thoughts. My family members were accustomed to my schedule, and the children would even remind us to send forth righteous thoughts at the proper times. After the publication of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party we used it to clarify the truth to our friends and relatives and urged them to renounce the Communist Party. In "To the European Fa Conference in Stockholm", Master said:

I use the various opportunities that present themselves to clarify the truth, urge people to withdraw from the CCP, and save people.
