Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

1. The Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and the Mayor of Yabulizhen Township, Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province, were badly hurt in a car accident

Zhen Hongwei, Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party in the township of Yabulizhen, is also a member of the Shangzhi City 610 Office. He had a car accident on December 25, 2005. One of his eyes was badly hurt. None of the hospitals in Harbin City was able to treat him. He then went to Beijing. However, the hospitals in Beijing said no to him as well. He had to go to another hospital in Shanghai.

Yue Yanjie is the Mayor of Yabulizhen Township. He was in a car accident as well, and one of his legs was broken. He is currently in a hospital in Harbin City for treatment.

Both of the above two persons had been closely following the Jiang Zemin regime in persecuting Falun Gong.

2. The Director of the Politics and Law Division of Shuangqiao Township, Shou County in the Liu'an Area of Anhui Province diagnosed with brain cancer

Xu Shigang is the director of the Politics and Law Division of Shuangqiao Township. After he assumed the position, he led people to arrest practitioners several times. He now has brain cancer and is about to undergo surgery.

3. The deputy director of the Xincun Police Substation in the Xinghualing District of Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province, has been arrested

Yan Shuanglan was the deputy director of the Xincun Police Substation. After July 20, 1999, he actively joined the Jiang regime in persecuting practitioners. In October 2000, while persecuting practitioner Jia Jinfeng, he forced Jia's family to give him 25,000 yuan without a receipt. In 2005, Yan accepted bribes when working on a case. He was later reported and arrested. Currently he is being detained at the Dingxiang County Detention Center in Shanxi Province.

4. A former Dafa practitioner who "enlightened" along an evil path died while slandering Dafa

At the beginning of November 2005, some former practitioners who had "enlightened" along an evil path had a gathering at one of their homes to explore how to persecute true Dafa practitioners. When Yan Dinghui, a worker at the Sichuan Cotton Factory, was talking about how she had brainwashed Falun Gong practitioners, slandered Dafa, and burned Dafa books, she died suddenly.
