Practitioners Bring the Facts of Dafa to the Southernmost Tip of West Australia (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Over the new year, Falun Dafa practitioners brought the grace of Dafa to Albany and Denmark, communities on the southern coast of the state of West Australia.

Artwork exhibition in Albany

On November 12 - 13 of 2005, our small group of Falun Dafa practitioners brought something new to the Albany Show Grounds. Falun Gong was introduced to 20,000 Albany residents. The beauty of Dafa was displayed with a picture exhibition, while practitioners did exercise demonstrations and gave out 1,000 balloons to hoards of children.

A practitioner gave a 10-minute interview on Albany Radio to talk about Falun Dafa - what it is and why it is being persecuted in China. The lawsuit in progress to ascertain why the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Alexander Downer keeps issuing certificates each month to restrict our protests outside the Chinese Embassy in Australia was also discussed in detail.

Many people heard the interview and came to the exhibition to understand more about what is happening in Australia and China with Falun Gong and to offer their understanding and support.

Many people expressed their support for our position. The only Chinese person who was at the event took a copy of the Nine Commentaries and told us that she'd heard about it in China.

At Denmark's Markets

On January 7, 2006, the annual Market Day in Denmark, the town was brimming with tourists from all over Australia and the world.

Truth-clarification posters

A local Falun Dafa practitioner has clarified the truth about the persecution with many projects over the years, and this time the exhibition was to show the people of Denmark the beauty of Dafa.

We held activities promoting the Petals of Peace program, with the young practitioners teaching children how to make paper lotus flowers. We also displayed artwork for the visitors.

We demonstrated the exercises on the hour and quite a few people came to learn the exercises.

One man was passing through from the United States and had read truth-clarification newspapers there. He said that they were everywhere over there. He wanted to know more about Falun Gong and learned the exercises from us. Another person was from Sri Lanka, and he was astounded that no money was involved and decided to learn the exercises. He said that he would contact the local practice site when he went home. He said that he found the exercises easy to learn and familiar in a way.

Another man was from the army stationed in Darwin. He was watching a practitioner sending forth righteous thoughts with his army mates. Sitting under the tree, they were noisy at first. Then when the practitioner finished sending forth righteous thoughts, he asked to learn the exercises.

Many Denmark residents spoke to us about the persecution. Many of them expressed their support and their opinion that the Australian government should do what they can to stop the persecution. A few said that they would like to learn the exercises and come to our practice site on Sunday.
