By a practitioner in Tianjin City

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Zhu Limin resides in Wuqing District, Tianjin City and diligently cultivates Falun Dafa. The police arrested her at her house more than five years ago and she has been illegally detained since. Ms. Zhu is being persecuted at Banqiao Forced Labor Camp in Dagang District, Tianjin City. Her sentence has been extended indefinitely. More details follow:

Zhu Limin, 52 years old, is originally from Liuzhunang Village, Dongmaquan Township, Wuqing District, Tianjin City. She began practicing Falun Gong in 1998. She strictly cultivates based on "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance." Her body and mind have gone through dramatic positive changes, which brought great happiness to her family.

Ms. Zhu's constitutional right to practice Falun Dafa and her family's joy in her cultivation would soon be challenged, however. In 2000, the local police station followed orders from the 610 Office to take Zhu Limin from her house and send her to the Wuqing District, Meichang Brainwashing Center to be "reformed." Zhu Limin remained steadfast, however, and continued to proclaim, "I cultivate Falun Gong based on "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance." To be a good person is right. Persecuting me is illegal and you are committing evil."

The police officers were unmoved and repeatedly committed evil against Zhu Limin. When they saw that all their persecution tactics had no impact, they sent her to Banqiao Forced Labor Camp in Dagang District, Tianjin City, where she would serve an illegal sentence. Wardens of the Second Brigade are persecuting 52-year-old Zhu Limin. Chun Li, Wang Chunying, and Liu Xiaohong have instigated prisoners to brutally torture Zhu Limin in every possible way. Zhu Limin was not able to move after being tied up for a long time, while her wrists bled from being handcuffed. She has been placed in solitary confinement and has suffered severely in both mind and body, to the point that her mental stability has been at risk. The police have not allowed her to talk with others and have denied visits with her family.

Zhu Limin's family has been torn apart and has suffered greatly since her persecution. Her husband, children, and other members of her family have suffered attacks and endured tremendous heartache.

When government officials inspected the Banqiao Forced Labor Camp, the wardens hid Ms. Zhu so government officials would not see her. She was scheduled to be released after two additional years on April 4, 2005, but her freedom had been denied. When Zhu Limin's family came to ask for her release and questioned the police as to why her sentence had been extended beyond the latest release date, they told her family, "It's based on orders from superiors because she did not write statements to renounce Falun Gong."

Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin City is by far the most brutal and inhumane facility where Dafa practitioners are persecuted. Thousands of practitioners have been tortured. Dozens were abused until they became injured, disabled, or mentally disordered, and some even died. The guards often send practitioners who have just arrived at the forced labor camp immediately into solitary confinement. They are forced to stand as punishment for about 20 hours and bend down at 90-degree angles for several hours. This torture causes practitioners' feet to swell to the extent that they are unable to walk. The police incite other prisoners to abuse practitioners who refuse to "reform." Practitioners are beaten and kicked, beaten with sticks, or shocked with electric batons on sensitive parts of their bodies. Many practitioners have not been able to withstand the tremendous pressure to "reform."

We strongly appeal to the Chinese Communist regime: "Stop the illegal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners at Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp, and immediately and unconditionally release Zhu Limin and all Falun Gong practitioners who have been illegally arrested."
