Mr. Du Anli Suffers Mental Collapse from Torture at the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Du Anli was a teacher at the Liaoning Art Vocational College (formerly known as The Euro-American Art and Fashion Design College) in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province. He was also a Falun Gong practitioner. Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp brutally tortured him for two years, causing his mental collapse. In June of last year, he was released from Shenxin Forced Labor Camp after being transferred there from Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp. Mr. Du is currently unable to work and unable to live a normal life due to the persecution.

On March 19, 2003, Suichuan Police in Heping District, Shenyang City, abducted Mr. Du because he was distributing truth-clarification materials near the Shenyang Cigarette Factory. The police held him at the Heping District Detention Center. Mr. Du refused to wear the prison uniform because he said he was not a criminal. The policemen ordered all other male prisoners to beat him. Much of his soft tissue was badly injured. Two weeks later, Mr. Du was transferred to Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp for further persecution.

On April 7, 2003, Mr. Du was put in the infamous Forced Brainwashing Center inside the Zhangshi Forced Labor Camp as soon as he arrived. Head policemen Shi Fengying and Song Baishun, along with two others, tied Mr. Du onto a rail between two beds, stripped him to his underwear and covered his head with his clothes. Then the policemen shocked him for several hours with eight high-voltage electric batons until the batteries ran out. His head, cheeks, lips, neck and chest suppurated and bled.

The policemen repeated the procedure on the same night with eight fresh electric batons. They only asked Mr. Du one question: would he be transformed or not? They shocked him again for several hours until the batteries ran out. Mr. Du's whole face was so badly swollen that he was hardly recognizable. The new wounds made his previous injuries even worse.

On the second night, the four policemen used the same torture method, each man holding two electric batons and shocking and burning him until the batteries ran out. They also forced him to watch the policemen shocking another practitioner with electric batons and to hear that practitioner's unbearable screaming. After this huge psychological trauma, Mr. Du collapsed mentally and he was unable to sleep at night.

In March 2005, Zhansghi Forced Labor Camp was shut down. Mr. Du and other practitioners were transferred to Shenxin Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City. In June 2005, Shenxin Forced Labor Camp took the physically deteriorating Mr. Du to some hospitals for physical check-ups. In the end, Mr. Du was released from the labor camp due to his mental collapse.

After Mr. Du returned home, his condition didn't get any better. He is unable to work or live a normal life. Before the persecution, Mr. Du was a good teacher at the Liaoning Art and Vocational College. He was gentle and kind. He was a good father and husband at home, but this good citizen has suffered a mental breakdown as a result of torture.
