By a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jiaozuo City, Henan Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The Jiaozuo Prefecture in Henan Province is one of the worst areas where severe persecution of Falun Gong takes place. The persecution was done openly at the beginning, but in recent years it happens behind closed doors. The Public Security Departments, Procuratorate Departments and the courts under the leadership of the evil Communist Party Committee in Jiaozuo City have committed horrendous crimes against Falun Dafa practitioners.

After Dafa practitioners' peaceful appeal in Beijing on April 25, 1999, in the Jiaozuo area Falun Dafa was vilified in a way that shocked the world. Miao Shaoyong, the then-Secretary of the County Committee of Wushe County, openly slandered Dafa during meetings of government officials. Falun Dafa practitioners in Jiaozuo City videotaped such scenes from TV news reruns and they went to the Jiaozuo Appeal Office to appeal. The County Committee was terrified. But the evil communist government of Wuzhi County, well-versed in fabricating lies, produced another news series to cover up their crimes. The Communist bureaucrats in Jiaozuo City colluded with one another and dismissed the demand from local Dafa practitioners that the Committee of Wuzhi County apologize to the people of Wuzhi.

Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, almost all Dafa practitioners in Jiaozuo City have been harassed and pressured in efforts to make them give up their belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."

In 2002, police from Dongfanghong Police substation arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Bai Aixiang while she was painting a truth-clarifying message on a wall. The perpetrator Wu Xiaohua brutally beat her. Under the unbearable torture, she jumped from the second story and fractured her feet. She was sent to the People's Hospital in the city and stayed there for a whole week. But then she was announced dead by the police who monitored her during her stay in the hospital. Her death was very suspicious. Even the officials from the inside the Public Security Department felt strange about Ms. Bai's sudden death.

In August 2004, 12 people in Jiaozuo City were secretly sentenced. The longest term was 10 years in prison. No court notice was ever issued. Around the Chinese New Year of 2005 at least 7 elderly Dafa practitioners were arrested. In September and October, two waves of brainwashing sessions were held, and over ten people were forced to attend. The 610 Office developed Ma Xinlai as a spy. He is now the administrator in charge of security in the Control Center in Macun Mining Site. In this role he actively extorts money and persecutes Dafa practitioners. As a result, in May of 2005, Han Sigang, a Dafa practitioner from Xi Yuan Mining Mountain, was put into the Custodial Station in Qingyang City.

Even after the "Falun Dafa Association Announcement" (a statement that gave all perpetrators of the persecution an opportunity to publicly announce an apology or face lawsuits when traveling overseas) was published on October 9, 2005, the incidents of persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners continued to occur in Jiaozuo City.

Falun Dafa practitoner Liu Jihui worked in Shanxi and came to Jiaozuo to visit relatives. As he handed out truth-clarifying materials in the City People's Park on November 13, police from the Park Police Substation arrested him. He is now detained in the Custodial Station.

Dafa practitioners Li Shuting and Wei Congling were arrested when they were clarifying the truth to people around them on their trip to Huangshan Mountain. They were detained for over two months. On December 7 Li Zhanhai and Li Tao from the Public Security Department Jiefang Branch sentenced them to 24 and 27 months in a labor camp, respectively.

On December 20, police from the Public Security Department Jiefang Branch raided Li Shuting's home and arrested her daughter-in-law, Ge Xiaocui, also a Dafa practitioner.

Dafa practitioners Liang Xiangfu and Xu Guiqin were arrested on December 3 when they were clarifying the truth and detained in the City Custodial Station.

One lady changed her bad behavior after she learned the truth about Falun Dafa in the Custodial Center. She started to treat people kindly using "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" as guidance. She passed around the truth-clarifying materials she picked up in the street. She was later detained by the perpetrators, yet she managed to escape by maintaining upright thoughts.

According to reliable sources, when the upper echelons of the Public Security Bureau made inspections and asked if the Nine Commentaries had been received, other cities replied "No," whereas the Public Security Department in Jiaozuo City handed in hundreds of copies of Nine Commentaries in one shot. From this incident you could see the evilness of the police in Jiaozuo City. The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party is a book that exposes the evil nature of the wicked Communist Party, and awakens the world's people who have been poisoned by the Communist Party culture. It is a book that is saving sentient beings.
