Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Linlin from Shandong Province Tortured in the Shanghai Women's Prison

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Linlin, age 28, from Shandong Province, was arrested in Shanghai and illegally sentenced to three years and six months in prison. Ms. Li was sent to the Shanghai Women's Prison on September 15, 2005. She is suffering from inhumane torture in the Fifth Division of the prison.

Ms. Li Linlin's home is in the Songbei Brigade of Songjialukou Village, Nanzhang Town, Rencheng District of Jining City in Shandong Province. She is a graduate of the Nanjing Meteorology College in Nanjing City. In 1997, she fortunately began to learn Falun Dafa cultivation practice. After the persecution of Falun Dafa started on July 20, 1999, Ms. Li refused to give up the practice. Because of this, although she had only six months left before she would graduate, the college suspended her for one year.

In order to clarify the truth and validate Falun Dafa, Ms. Li went to Beijing to appeal. She was arrested without cause and was held for one month in the Yanzhou City Detention Center in Shandong Province. In October 2000, she went to Beijing to appeal for the second time. Police officers blocked her from going there and sentenced her to two years in a forced labor camp. Ms. Li was held in the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp of Zibo City in Shandong Province where she was subjected to forced brainwashing. One year later, Ms. Li was released and returned to college. In 2003, Ms. Li started to work in the Meteorology Department of Jining City in Shandong Province.

In April 2004, Ms. Li was forced to leave her job because she was clarifying the truth and validating the Fa. In May 2004, Ms. Li went to Shanghai to find work. On the evening of January 8, 2005, police officers of the Changning District Police Station of Shanghai arrested Ms. Li again because she was making truth clarification materials. The police officers confiscated her computer, suitcase, cell phone and graduation certificate. Ms. Li was held in the Changning District Detention Center.

On the evening of August 9, 2005, Ms. Li was sentenced to three years and six months in prison. On September 15, 2005, Ms. Li was sent to the Shanghai Women's Prison and has since been suffering from inhumane torture in the Fifth Division of the prison.
