The First Greetings of the New Year - "Falun Dafa is Great!" (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) In Taiwan on New Year's Day, many people get up early to attend the Flag Raising Ceremony at the President's Office to start the year. As members of society, practitioners won't miss a big opportunity like this to demonstrate the beauty of Falun Dafa to the public.

Early on the morning of January 1, 2006, before dawn, family and friends gathered on the square in front of the Presidential Office Building. In the very weak light, a huge yellow banner proclaimed, "Falun Dafa, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, Improved Health for Over 100 Million People, Upgrading Character."

By the end of the ceremony, daylight was arriving. People waved the little national flags, and as they left, passed by the banner and heard the greetings "Falun Dafa is Great! Happy New Year!" Many stopped, responded happily, and accepted the truth clarification materials and bookmarks offered to them by practitioners.

The responses of "Falun Dafa is Great" and "Happy New Year" were flying in the fresh morning air. These first greetings of the year purified the air, and affected all the people in the square.

The banner "Falun Dafa is Great" can fly freely in the square here in Taiwan, while in Tiananmen Square, under the Chinese Communist Regime, uttering the words "Falun Dafa is Great" can lead one to be beaten to death.

A group of youths passed by, read out loud "Falun Dafa is Great" and gave the thumbs-up to practitioners saying, "Falun Gong, Come on"!

An older lady with a cane was given a bookmark. She followed the practitioner saying loudly, "Falun Dafa is Great!" Practitioners told her that reciting the words would benefit her health. She nodded and left with a smile.

Practitioners showed the beauty of Falun Dafa and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." They gave the public a good impression and were able to clarify some people's misunderstandings.

One gentleman knew that Falun Gong was persecuted by the Chinese Communist regime, but didn't know that many Party members are quitting the Party. When he learned that nearly seven million people have quit the Party and its affiliates, the gentleman said happily, "That's the first good news of the year!"

An English speaking gentleman misled by the Chinese Communist regime's propaganda thought that Falun Gong is against China. Practitioners explained that Falun Gong has never been against anyone, and that it was Jiang and the Chinese Communist Party who colluded with each other to persecute Falun Gong. Practitioners just want to be better people. Over the past six years of persecution, practitioners have peacefully clarified the truth. They have only been demanding an end to the brutal persecution, the unconditional release of all illegally held practitioners, and the return of freedom to practice. The gentleman explained that the Chinese Communist regime is not China itself. If China doesn't want the CCP, we should support them.
