A Wife Becomes Happy; Her Husband Improves After Getting Close to Dafa

A guard in his 30s who worked for a company in Tangshan City, Hebei Province, became tainted with many bad habits, such as fighting, gambling and visiting erotic events, because he frequently interacted with criminals. He would not listen no matter how his wife admonished him, which led to a lack of harmony in his family.

When the persecution of Falun Gong began, he was sent to Beijing to intercept practitioners from his company who had gone there to appeal. In Tiananmen Square, he witnessed with his own eyes how cruelly the Chinese Communist Party's police treated practitioners and he greatly admired practitioners' indomitable will in the face of such violence.

Afterwards, he often stopped by a practitioner's home, read many truth clarifying materials, and came to understand many things. Focusing on his bad habits, the practitioner patiently helped him to see that one should be a good person by following the criteria of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and read to him the principles in Zhuan Falun about "good being rewarded with good, and evil being met with retribution." He gradually started changing. He got rid of his bad habits and often voluntarily helped other people. He gladly told the practitioner that he felt very happy whenever he helped others.

Perceiving her husband's change for the better, his wife asked him what had made him improve. When he told his wife about his experiences, she sighed from the bottom of her heart and said, "Falun Dafa is great!"

Xiao Liu, a new practitioner in Shandong Province, clarified the truth to his father, Lao Liu, many times. Lao Liu also knew that Dafa was good, but since he grew up in a poor mountain district he had to serve in the army and became a government employee. When his children got married and had their own businesses, Lao Liu thought that the Communist Party was responsible for their successes, so he was not willing to quit the evil party even though he had read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.

This May, Lao Liu suddenly suffered from jaundice and was taken to a major hospital. After staying there for almost a month, he recovered from the disease. However soon after getting home, he suffered a relapse. His health flip-flopped like this three times. The doctors found it inconceivable since this kind of disease does not normally recur after it has been cured. A liver specialist in the provincial center could not come up with any solution either.

Xiao Liu knew that this was caused by Communism's Evil Spirit making mischief and that his father's health would return to normal when he quit the evil party, so Xiao Liu tried again to persuade his father to quit the CCP, the Communist Youth League, and the Young Pioneers. But Lao Liu still did not want to quit.

In the middle of November, Lao Liu's liver disease returned and his jaundice index was very high. This time, he did not go to the hospital. Before Xiao Liu could return home, Lao Liu called him to say that he wanted to quit the Party. He also destroyed all kinds of the evil party's books and Mao's pictures that he had treasured for many years. Several days later, when Xiu Liu had returned home, he saw that his father's health was back to normal. Lao Liu recovered in both mind and body in around half the normal time required with medical treatment. Lao Liu thanked Dafa with all his heart, saying, "Now I really believe that Falun Gong is supernatural." Both he and his wife now want to learn Dafa.
