Changchun Tiebei Prison Staff Brutally Torture Practitioner to the Edge of Death

Falun Gong practitioner Liu Zhaojian, a resident of Jilin Province, had been locked up in a small cell in Jilin Prison for more than a year. The staff severely tortured him, and he lost weight until he was less than 90 pounds (40 kg). He was emaciated and hunchbacked. In 2005, they transferred Liu Zhaojian to Changchun Tiebei Prison, where he has been continuously persecuted. Liu Zhaojian has steadfastly refused to cooperate with his captors. Unfortunately, he developed symptoms of pulmonary tuberculosis and liver disease, and his condition worsened day by day. The 610 Office agents at Tiebei Prison were afraid of being held responsible if he died, so they unconditionally released him.
