My Understanding of "Negation" Vs. "Acknowledgment"

(Clearwisdom.net) As Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period, we
completely negate any arrangements of the old forces. But what is a complete and
fundamental negation? If we truly understand that the old forces, which
persecute Dafa and Dafa disciples should not have existed at all, and negate its
existence and its arrangements from the bottom of our heart, we will not have
any fear. However, many practitioners, including myself, still have various
degrees of fear, although our fear is getting weaker. When one fears the
persecution one has already acknowledged the existence of the old forces.
Otherwise, why be afraid? Master said, "Fear is also a kind of attachment." ("Lecture Six" in Zhuan
Falun, 2000 translation version) We are asking for tribulations when we have fear. Making use of our
omissions, the old forces bring us trouble and tribulations by using the excuse
of helping us letting go of our attachments. For example, some practitioners were interrogated by wicked police officers
who asked, "Do you still practice Falun Gong?" Those who answered
"No" not only acknowledged the existence of the old forces by fearing
their persecution, but also failed the so-called "test" arranged by
the old forces. Undoubtedly, these practitioners fell in their cultivation level
at those times. Some other practitioners replied adamantly, "Yes."
Superficially, they seemed to have passed the test without fear and have negated
the arrangement of the old forces with precious righteous thoughts. But if we
think it over from the fundamental nature of the incidence, isn't such an
answer, also acknowledging the arrangements of the old forces and their illegal
interrogations? Otherwise, why answer them? We are doing the best, greatest, and the most righteous thing by assisting
Master to rectify the Fa. Any being, including the old forces, should rectify
themselves with the requirements of this Great Law of the cosmos. No one has the
right to interfere, not to mention persecute or test us. Therefore they have no
right to arrest or interrogate Dafa disciples. Whoever did this can no longer
exist in the cosmos, and must be eliminated because he committed the greatest
crime, the most evil conduct in the cosmos. So is it necessary for Dafa
disciples to answer the questions of those controlled by the evil? Any necessity
at all? Master said, "I am a person who will not say what he does not want to say, but what
I say must be true." ("Lecture Three" in Zhuan Falun) If we do things according to Dafa and Master's requirements we will avoid
many troubles. A few years ago, a Dafa disciple told me a personal experience of hers, which
impressed me very much. Once, a group of wicked police broke into her home. The
police repeatedly forced her to answer whether or not she still practiced Falun
Gong. She kept silent and refused to pay attention to what they were saying. She
just sat there sending forth righteous thoughts in order to disintegrate the
rotten ghosts that were controlling the wicked police to persecute the Fa.
Without any fear or hatred she only felt that those who were controlled by the
evil were pathetic. After a long stalemate the police left crestfallen. This
practitioner's action was apparently in accordance with Dafa's requirements. As
a result, she did not have any more tribulations. When another practitioner was released from jail a few years ago, he told me,
"I couldn't take it in jail. I wrote the 'three statements' in order to get
out so that I can do Fa-validation things outside the jail." Apparently, he
had written things that he had not wanted to write, things that were lies. His
actions were obviously not in accordance with Dafa's requirements. Another practitioner was arrested a few years ago. A wicked policeman found
his address book when searching his body. The policeman left the address book on
a table and went away. The practitioner tore the book into pieces and flushed it
down the toilet. Undoubtedly, he did the right thing and protected fellow
practitioners. But when the wicked policeman came back and asked where the
address book was, he told him honestly what he had done. The policeman was
furious and he beat the practitioner so badly and viciously that the
practitioner's ear went deaf. Tearing up the phone book was negating the
arrangements of the old forces. But telling the policeman what he had done was
acknowledging the existence of the old forces. The tribulations got more serious
because the practitioner did not negate the old forces completely. Since we
don't even acknowledge the existence of the old forces, was it necessary at all
to answer its questions? He could have kept silent. Being adamant in Fa-rectification
cultivation is different than being a hero among regular people. Fa-rectification
cultivation is completely supernormal, as Master said, Dafa disciples are "...far more noble than the heroes of everyday people."
("Lecture Two" in Zhuan Falun) Master said, "...the whole universe is watching. It is not permitted for one to
deviate."("Lecture Eight" in Zhuan Falun) Dafa disciples' every thought, every word, and every action should conform to
Master's Fa, which is the only standard. Any slight deviation should be
corrected immediately. Master also said, "Fa brings salvation to all, 'tis Master guiding the way" and
"Be resolute cultivating Dafa, follow Master closely."
("Self-Evident is the Heart" in Hong Yin II, Translation
Version A) Since I received Master's "Self-Evident is the Heart" in 2000, I
have recited these two sentences often, and I have required myself to conform to
these two sentences. I recited these two sentences whenever a bad thought came
into my mind. I then immediately felt the bad thought disappear. Of course,
sometimes I did well in my cultivation and sometimes I did not. I ran into some
small troubles during the past seven years, but not many big ones. Even when I
did encounter big troubles, I was able to overcome them with Master's
protection. By following these two sentences one can completely and
fundamentally negate the arrangements of the old forces. I will continue to use
them as a guide and do better the things that I did not do well in the past. A few years ago a practitioner was severely persecuted with sickness karma. A
few of us practitioners often went to his home and sent forth righteous thoughts
and shared experiences with him. He said, "I will not go to a hospital
unless I am unconscious and can not make a decision." Later he did lose
consciousness and his family took him to a hospital, where surgery was performed
on him. But he continued to study the Fa after the surgery. When the pain became
too severe and he could not take it any longer, he called out in his heart,
"Master, help!" From then on his situation made a turn for the better,
and his health improved daily. He has been doing the three things
ever since. This story shows that if we can "Be resolute cultivating Dafa,
follow Master closely" ("Self-Evident is the Heart"), we will be
able to pass any deadly test. But if we deviate from the Fa with omissions then
the evil can take advantage of us. Another fellow practitioner was seriously persecuted with sickness karma in
2004. She told me that she would return the sickness karma to the evil rotten
ghosts. As she had done the three things well and had been steadfast in her
cultivation, I thought that she shouldn't have any big problems. So when her
daughter, who is not a practitioner, came back to live with her again, we
stopped visiting her and sending forth righteous thoughts for her. We also
stopped going there to share experiences with her as we thought it might be
inconvenient. I left to visit my hometown before the Chinese New Year. When I
returned I learned that she had passed away on the Chinese New Year's Day. We
lost a Dafa disciple who was able to save sentient beings. What a big loss! As
practitioners who had contact with her, we were all guilty for our omissions.
Affected by human notions, we did not treat her things completely as ours, or do
well the things that we were responsible for, or act quickly enough, or
enlighten from the Fa. I am partially responsible for this major loss. A similar
painful lesson happened again this May. An elderly practitioner, who was
seriously persecuted with sickness karma, went to a hospital and had surgery.
She took the path of a regular person and passed away within half a month.
Because of my human notions, I did not have any deep sharing with her, and
rarely went to her home to send forth righteous thoughts with her. Because I
thought that she was as a former assistant and had good enlightenment quality
and because she seemed to be in severe pain. So I did not do many things that I
should have done quickly. Dafa disciples are one body, and her things are my
things. As I did not think this way strongly, I was not able to function as part
of the body and help the practitioner to pass the test. The old forces made use
of my omissions and caused major losses. The Fa Master taught is the Great Law of the cosmos. This is the greatest
cosmic change among all cosmic bodies. The entire cosmos should evolve in
accordance with this cosmic change, and it will surely evolve this way. The new
cosmos will be formed this way. Master said, "Without human action happening under cosmic changes, such conditions
would not have been brought to ordinary human society, and neither would they
be called cosmic changes." ("Lecture Seven" in Zhuan Falun) If every time after we read Master's articles and lectures we can understand
them from the Fa, allow nothing to sway our conviction, and take initiative to
act accordingly, the cosmic changes and human society will soon change according
to the requirements according to Master's teachings. This way we negate the
existence and arrangements of the old forces, and walk the path Master has
arranged for us. If, after reading the articles and lectures, we doubt, "Is
this true? Will this work? I'll wait and see," we would delay cosmic
changes and ordinary society changes, and walk the path arranged by the old
forces as we are passively waiting, observing, and depending on overseas Dafa
disciples to take action, fearing dangers, and even enlightening along an evil
path and taking opposite actions. For every step that we take in Fa-rectification
cultivation we walk the path arranged either by Master or by the old forces.
There exist only two paths. There is no middle path. Some people stopped practicing Dafa due to fear. But since they still had a
heart for cultivation they switched to certain religions for cultivation, and
said, "I can still go to a high level by cultivating this one." They
did not listen to Dafa disciples' advice. Religions are a cultivation culture
left by the old forces, and cannot save a person's main consciousness. Isn't it
obvious that they are walking a path arranged by the old forces? In addition,
with their attachment to fear no matter what religion they cultivate, aren't
they cultivating in vain? How can they possibly cultivate to a high level? I
truly hope that these people can come back to Dafa cultivation as soon as
possible and be responsible for their own lives as well as the sentient beings
from their heavenly realms. If they will not return, it will be too late for
regret once they have missed their predestined relationship. The wicked CCP (Chinese Communist Party) has controlled the national
machinery to illegally arrest, detain, jail, torture, and kill Dafa disciples,
and hinder the rescuing of sentient beings. Its crimes and sins are
unprecedented. Its deeds are anti-human, anti-cosmos, and are the most illegal.
The three things that we Dafa disciples do during the Fa-rectification are great
compassionate acts for saving sentient beings from being destroyed, and are the
greatest legal actions. Master said, "As true practitioners, we should look at issues from a very high
level instead of from the perspective of everyday people." ("Lecture
Six" in Zhuan Falun) Ordinary people may think that one should not practice if "the
country" (Note: This is a typical deviated notion of Chinese people) does
not allow one to practice. They say that one should practice at home if one
insists to practice so that one does not get involved in politics. This implies
that meditating outdoors and validating Dafa are "illegal" and that
advising people to quit the "Three Communist Organizations" is getting
involved in politics. Though some fellow practitioners and I do not think this
way, we are still more or less affected by ordinary people's views. We were
furtive and timid when doing the three things to validate Dafa in the past few
years, and acted as if we were doing illegal things. Though it is necessary, and
a must, to pay attention to safety issues when doing things to validate Dafa,
that state of mind is wrong because it is from a limited understanding of Fa-validation
cultivation. Though we have done better over the past two years, this notion is not
completely gone yet. For example, in the recent few months when I added
"Completely destroy all demons, concentration camps, labor camps, prisons,
and hospitals that illegally arrest, detain, torture, and kill Dafa
disciples" when sending forth righteous thoughts, I often lack confidence
in the word "illegal." My understanding did not catch up with me until
I read an article in Minghui Weekly (printed digest of Chinese
Clearwisdom articles) some time later. Another example is my being unable to
courageously and repeatedly clarify the truth to my family members due to their
objections. I also did not widely clarify the truth at my work place. This
suggests that I did not study Master's articles and lectures well or enlighten
high enough, that my righteous thoughts were not strong and powerful enough, and
that I did not fundamentally and completely negate the existence and
arrangements of the old forces. In addition, I found during a few business trips
and during my visit to my hometown that many people still did not know the truth
about Dafa at this last stage of the Fa-rectification period. This means that
there are still a lot of Fa-rectification things we Dafa disciples need to do.
Master said, "If human beings are able to take a fresh look at themselves as well
as the universe and change their rigid mentalities, humankind will make a leap
forward." ("Lun Yu" in Zhuan Falun) What the wicked CCP brainwashes people with is wicked doctrines that defy the
heaven and betray the Dao, and are full of evil factors. The CCP will, of
course, be completely eliminated, which is necessary for saving sentient beings
in the cosmos, and which conforms to the will of heaven. Master said, "When the Fa is right, the universe will be right. Life will flourish,
heaven and earth will be stable, and the Fa will exist forever."
("When the Fa is Right" from Essentials for Further Advancement) Whoever follows the great trend of Fa-rectification will be rectified, saved,
and have a future. Whoever is against it or persecutes it will be eliminated,
and without a future. We should follow Master's requirements: "I hope everyone will do better and better at the end. Be sure not to
become lax. You must not slack off, and you must not become apathetic."
("Teaching the Fa in the City of Los Angeles," 2006) We should keep upgrading our understanding of Fa-rectification, and do more
the three things. I enlightened that the biggest cosmic changes for now is
Master's recent teaching dated on July 4, 2006: "The Dafa's vast spread ("Opening the Gate of the World") We should strengthen our righteous thoughts by following Master's teachings,
and quickly eliminate the evil and save people. We will walk steadfastly with
perseverance and without slacking off along the path that Master arranged for us
Dafa disciples until the very end. The above is my recent enlightenment. I wrote it down in a hurry because I
felt that it was urgent to do so. There may be inadequacies in my article, which
I am willing to learn about from fellow practitioners.

retreat before it, not a trace left.
The sinister Party and its perverse doctrine
fall apart overnight.
With the turning of Falun
a new century is born."
