Switzerland: Practitioners Promote Falun Gong at Health Expo (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) From September 30 to October 1, 2006, several Swiss Falun Gong practitioners participated in a health exposition organized by the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds in the French-speaking area of Switzerland. Practitioners demonstrated the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, showing the beauty of Falun Dafa to the audience, and exposing the brutal persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in mainland China.

There were a variety of posters introducing Falun Dafa displayed in the front of the Falun Gong booth, and on the table were many Falun Gong books, materials exposing the persecution, and petition forms opposing the persecution. One of the main attractions were handmade paper lotus flowers, which symbolize the noble morals and pure character of Falun Gong practitioners. A practitioner wrote on a calligraphy scroll, "The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," to give to visitors, in the hopes that they could bring home "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."

Practitioners told visitors that many Falun Gong practitioners begin to learn the practice after they read the book, Falun Gong. After they decide to practice, they start reading the book, Zhuan Falun (Turning the Law Wheel). Practitioners cultivate themselves according to the principles in this book, and practice five sets of slow and smooth exercises.

The Falun Gong exercise demonstration attracted many visitors. Many people also took truth-clarification materials to read at home. The literature explains more about the practice and discusses how Falun Gong has been spread to over 80 countries and regions around the world.

A broadcast reporter from Neuchatel was also attracted to the Falun Gong booth, and interviewed a practitioner after she listened carefully to the practitioners' truth clarification.

A young girl who came with her mother was extremely happy to have a handmade paper lotus flower, with a bookmark introducing Falun Dafa.

After the girl and her mother listened to a practitioner interpreting the Chinese meaning of the calligraphy, "The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," she took home not only a Chinese calligraphy scroll and a lotus flower, but also "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" in her heart.

Another young girl was also pleased to show her calligraphy scroll, and had a photo taken with a Falun Gong practitioner.
