Sharing My Experience of Eliminating the Interference of "Illness"

(Clearwisdom.net) I have been a Falun Dafa practitioner since 1995. As part of the Fa-rectification, I try to measure myself against the Fa, and I tell myself that I must do the three things Teacher told us to do well. On the cultivation road of eleven tough years, I'm becoming more mature and I have rid myself of many human attachments and notions. I sometimes fall down and then get up again. Thinking back over these years, our Teacher has given me one chance after another with his great compassion and mercy.

When I just started to cultivate Falun Dafa, I had many so-called "illnesses," and they all disappeared after I began the practice. But last year my body's condition got bad again. My legs hurt a lot. Not only couldn't I do the double-lotus position, but I even had trouble walking. A few days later, my eyes suddenly couldn't see anymore. But I believed in Teacher, I believed in Dafa. When I could not do double-lotus, I used single-lotus. When I could not read, I listened to the recordings of Teacher's lectures.

During this time, I didn't treat myself by everyday people's notions. I treated myself as a cultivator. Facing all the difficulties, I looked inside for my attachments. I knew this was interference from the old forces. Teacher does not acknowledge the arrangements of the old forces, so should I as a Falun Dafa practitioner during Fa-rectification? I sent righteous thoughts every day, and listened to Fa recordings while my fellow practitioners sent righteous thoughts for me, eliminating all the disturbance from the old forces and its evil elements. Soon my eyesight recovered.

Now I can read the Fa again, and my legs have stopped hurting. I can do double-lotus, which I hadn't been able to do for the past two years, and I can do the sitting meditation for more than an hour. This really let me feel the power of the Fa, and the power of us practitioners as one body. Other practitioners treated my problems as their own. We help each other without a second thought. We are really one body.

Now I don't feel any pain anymore. My body feels good and my spirit is up. I have overcome a big tribulation. It is not a bad thing that during our cultivation there are pain and tribulations. The key is how you handle them. You can become frightened. That is one choice. Another choice is that you face them bravely and take them as "an outstanding opportunity to remove karma, be cleansed of sin, purify the body, elevate your plane of thought, and rise in level" ("The Closer to the End, the More Diligent You Should Be") What we need to do is to handle ourselves as practitioners, study the Fa hard, clarify the truth, and send forth righteous thoughts.

This is my experience on how I eliminated some disturbances on the road of my cultivation. I wrote it down to share with other practitioners. Please point out anything improper.
