I Greatly Benefited from Falun Gong, But Persecution Forced Me to Become Homeless

(Clearwisdom.net) I started to practice Falun Gong during my senior year of college and benefited from it a lot.

The morning right after I started practicing Falun Gong, I knew that I should wake up and go to the group practice location at my school, but I still wanted to sleep a little more. Suddenly, I heard a voice from far away that said, "I have come to save you." The voice seemed to be coming from far away, but it sounded as though it was right beside my ears. It was merciful and clear. I was shocked. I woke up, got dressed quickly, and ran to the group practice location.

The group practice location was at the Old Cadre Activity Center at my school. Initially, I just attended the group study. Later, I started to practice the exercises. After reading Zhuan Falun, I knew that this cultivation chance existed only in this life. Therefore, I was relatively earnest. When I did the second exercise, my arms were so sore that I could not stand it. However, I told myself that if I could not stand it, how could I practice cultivation in the future? Therefore, I always completed the half-hour second exercise. In the beginning few days, just as I was about to finish the second exercise, it seemed that I had diarrhea and could not wait any longer. In the wintertime, I still sweat a lot while practicing. After I completed the exercises, I surprisingly found that my mind was very clear and my whole body was relaxed and comfortable. I had had anemia since childhood. When I was in high school, I suffered from tympanitis (ringing in the ears) and headaches. After practicing several times, I became free from illness. Since then, my health has been extremely good, and I have not needed any medicines. Later on, I understood that Master had helped me to purify my colon, stomach, and my whole body.

After I started practicing Falun Gong, I never put on any make up. However, all of my friends told me that my skin had become fair and smooth. My indifferent and eccentric personality gradually became kind and relaxed. Before, I always lost my concentration when listening to the class lectures. After studying the Fa, I became calm and more focused, and I could concentrate on my studies for a long time. This was a surprising change! Once after a group practice, I felt that my feet were leaving the ground while I was walking and my body was weightless. The feeling was great. There was another time that I sat on my bed to practice the sitting exercise. When I followed Master's orders to extend my hands, my body was so light that I almost left the bed. After that, it happened many times, and I felt peaceful and beautiful inside.

Since I was selfish and narrow minded, I often verbally attacked my roommates and hurt their feelings. Conflicts frequently occurred between us, and our relationships caused me pain. Because I did not like to hear what they said, I chose to stay outside rather than go back to my dorm during the lunch break. After I decided to cultivate, I attended the group practices and group studies in my free time. All the practitioners got together, shared their thoughts without inhibition, and helped each other. It was really a pure land. I finally found the home of my mind. Because I required myself to follow the principles of Falun Gong, "Truthfulness, Comparison, Forbearance," I considered other people first and stopped harming other people. Because my mind had become compassionate, I did not bother my roommates anymore. They also treated me better, and the whole room was harmonious.

After graduation, I started a teaching career. All of my colleagues, students, and their parents thought that I was a good teacher. In 2001, I disclosed that I was a Falun Gong practitioner and started to validate Dafa. The school president, party secretary, and policemen continuously harassed me to give up my practice. My family members and I felt a lot of pressure. Falun Gong was good, I could not say otherwise, since I had benefited a lot from practicing it. If I gave up, they would say, "Look, she has given up practicing since it was no good!" I could not let them use my case to deceive all the people in my hometown. Soon after that, the president and policemen secretly tricked me into a detention center. I started a hunger strike for eight days to protest my illegal detention. After my family members paid 3000 yuan in extortion, I was released. I was fired from my teaching job and went back home to farm. Teaching committee members, policemen, and detention center personnel sometimes arrived at my home in the middle of the night, which shocked me and created a lot of pressure for my family. As a result, I left home to avoid persecution.
