Legislative Council member Lai Ching-te said that Taiwanese people seeking organ transplants in China would possibly receive organs forcefully harvested, especially from Falun Gong practitioners. The forceful removal of organs has been verified by investigators in the international community and victims, and has been independently investigated by the Canadian team of Kilgour and Matas.

Legislative Council member Tien Chiu-chin suggested that when people apply to the immigration office for permission to visit China, they should be provided with a handout stating that one receiving organ transplants in China could get organs forcefully harvested from living Falun Gong practitioners. People must know of the possibility of taking another's life.

Hsueh Jui-yuan, Head of the Medical Affairs Branch, Department of Health, said most of the Taiwanese patients seeking organ transplants in other countries go to China. But China's organ transplantation system has many human rights concerns and has no guarantee in terms of safety. The Department of Health does not encourage the public to go to China to receive organ transplants.

Chang Ching-his, Director of the Falun Dafa Association of Taiwan, called for help in the public hearing. He said, sobbing, "The CCP sells batches of various human organs on the market. Many Falun Gong practitioners are imprisoned in concentration camps for their organs. The CCP makes money from organ harvesting from living practitioners. The atrocities are worse than the Nazis'."

Mr. Matas, renowned human rights lawyer, put forward eleven suggestions to Taiwan in the hearing, including that the government should let people know that organs in China are possibly from Falun Gong practitioners.

Ms. Wenyi Wang, who shouted to Hu Jintano on the south lawn of the White house, said that doctors' responsibility is to save people's lives. But under the CCP's evil propaganda against Falun Gong, many doctors have participated in the persecution. Her trip to Taiwan was to remind the Taiwanese people do not receive organ transplants in China without knowing the organ source. The government should let people know of the CCP's evil nature and the tragedies happening in China.

Mr. Matas proposed that the Taiwanese government should support an international investigation. He said that he and Mr. Kilgour conducted a survey of patients who received organ transplants in China, but the government should have more resources and power to conduct a more thorough survey.

Mr. Kilgour said that people in Taiwan and Canada could work together to stop the CCP harvesting organs from living people. He said that this unprecedented evil in human history must be stopped.

Mr. Lai Ching-te said in conclusion, that the Legislative Council passed a resolution asking the Department of Health to increase their budget to advise and educate the public on organ donation, the danger of organ transplants overseas, and that receiving organ transplants in China could involve the killing of Falun Gong practitioners.
