(Clearwisdom.net) The annual month-long flower festival called the "Floriade" is the important festival in Canberra, the capital of Australia. The festival features a spectacular flower exhibition during the spring in Australia. It attracts tens of thousands of tourists from across Australia each year, and it is a good opportunity for local Falun Gong practitioners to raise awareness about Falun Gong and the persecution against it.

Falun Gong practitioners in Canberra focused their truth clarification in the year 2006 on using flyers to inform the tourists about the CCP's crimes of large-scale harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Over the years, the tourists have continued to be more receptive to the facts about Falun Gong.

During the one-month flower festival, practitioners distributed over 60,000 flyers to the tourists. Many people showed great concern over the CCP's live organ harvesting. Many tourists praised the practitioners and expressed their support. Three Falun Gong practitioners in their 70s were a big part of the effort to distribute the flyers. Mr. Wang and Ms. Wang did not a single day during the 30-day festival.

Ms. Wong did not understand English, but tourists would use various ways to express their respect and encouragement to her every day. One middle-aged man read the flyer and wanted to donate money to her. She politely declined, and the man then quietly stood beside her for 30 minutes. Seeing practitioners busy distributing flyers to tourists, he was moved to tears.

Another young couple in their 20s took the flyer and read it carefully. The young woman was so sad that she cried while reading. The young man was angry and condemned the CCP's atrocities. A westerner read the flyer and denounced the CCP's crimes, and then said to Ms. Wang in Chinese the word "Hao" (Good) to praise her.

Every day during the festival, many people received flyers when entering the main exhibition hall. Later, when they came out, they would pat Ms. Wang on her shoulder or give her a thumbs-up to express their encouragement.

During the Floriade, Falun Gong practitioners also gave waist drum performances and demonstrated the exercises on stage, which won warm applause from the audience.
