Which Law Have We Violated by Striving to Be Good People?

(Clearwisdom.net) My name is Meng Qingzhen and my wife is Zhao Yuhua. We are both Falun Dafa practitioners at Fengjia Village, Longjiang County, Heilongjiang Province. Because we both suffered from many illnesses, we started to practice Falun Dafa in 1998. After we began our practice, our illnesses disappeared without our noticing them. The manifestation of the wonder of Falun Dafa further strengthened our determination to practice it.

Since the persecution started in 1999, we decided to go to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong to clarify the truth and to prove with our own personal experiences that Falun Gong brings no harm but only a lot of benefits to people.

In October 2000, when we went to Beijing's Tiananmen Square to clarify the truth to people, a few police thugs came and knocked us down. Stopping us from exposing the truth, they beat us, pushed my wife to the ground, and then dragged her to their vehicle for further beating. They took us and other practitioners to the Tiananmen Square police station, and locked us up in iron cages to force us to give them our names and residential addresses.

Then, the policemen from our local police station and the police department of Longjiang County, Wang Jin, Wang Hongwei, and police chief Zhang Guo from Heigangzi Police Station, together with Sun Chengyi, the party secretary of Fengjia Village, and the village head, forcefully shipped away 3,500 kilograms of soybeans that belonged to us and extorted 800 yuan from our parents. In addition, they auctioned off our land for only 1,000 yuan and pocketed the money. The officials and police officers in Longjiang County illegally sentenced us to forced labor camps, leaving our child and our parents without any care.

During our extended imprisonment in the forced labor camps, they forced us to attend brainwashing sessions, and beat and physically abused us many times. They forced us to become slave laborers. We were released in May and July 2001 respectively. In 2002, the perpetrators continued to persecute us, forcing us to leave home to avoid further persecution. Once again, our daughter was left behind and failed to get any care. She had a sudden onset of heart disease and died.

Once again, we would like to advise those who are continuing to oppress and persecute the good-hearted Falun Gong practitioners: Stop committing more crimes before it is too late.
