"Work Together in Concert"; "Righteous Thoughts Display the Might of Gods"

We are about five practitioners who have been studying the Fa together for a few years. During the past years, we studied the Fa, exchanged cultivation experiences and sent forth righteous thoughts daily despite the difficulties and dangers we faced. Together, we strive to do well the three things that Teacher requires of us. In our cultivation practice in the Fa-rectification period, we have acquired valuable experiences and learned hard lessons. In short, we continue our cultivation practice despite the tribulations and peril we face. All of us are elevating our xinxing and are becoming increasingly mature.

I will not tell you about what we have encountered in our families and society. I won't tell you about the tribulations we faced or how we prevailed. I also won't talk about touching stories when we were persuading people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. But, I will tell you two memorable stories that happened during the past six months, illustrating the importance of our group Fa study --- "Compare in studying, compare in cultivating" ("Solid Cultivation" in Hong Yin); "holistic improvement and holistic upgrade" (Zhuan Falun); "work together in concert" ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference"); and "righteous thoughts display the might of Gods" ("New Year's Greetings from Master").

One morning in early March 2006, our Fa study group was studying the Fa at my home, when all of a sudden we heard footsteps and talking in the stairway. The next thing we knew, we heard people pounding and shouting at the door. They were coming for us. The immediate danger was a big test for everyone in our study group. Some of us were calm while others looked tense, revealing their fear, but all of us knew a battle between the righteous and the evil was about to begin.

I told my fellow practitioners, "Do not fear. These guys have come to my home often in the past. They are coming for me. You just happen to be here today. There is no need to be afraid. Since they have come here, we must seize this opportunity and keep them here until they listen to the truth. As for the evil elements manipulating these people, we should eliminate all of them. Don't let them take any of these evil elements home. You stay here and send forth righteous thoughts. I will answer the door. Remember to believe in Teacher and the Fa. Remember to keep strong righteous thoughts. Do not allow the evil to run rampant. It is powerless. It is nothing." Everyone nodded and looked at me with a look of determination and righteous thoughts in their eyes. I closed the door to the room and went to answer the front door.

They were pounding so hard that they were about to break the door. After I opened the door, I blocked the door and told them in a loud voice, "There is no law in this world any more. You have crossed the line. You think you can just pound on my door at will and disturb my neighbors? I am but a gray haired old lady that lives alone. I did not offend or seek trouble with any of you. When I needed the low-income insurance, you placed obstacles to deny my request. I have to solve my own financial problem. Now you are disturbing my peace at home. You guys are real bullies!" One of them said, "Leaders of the neighborhood office are visiting you to show their concerns for you old lady. We are relieved as long as you are safe at home."

While I let them enter the living room, I said, "I thank the leaders of the neighborhood office for their 'good intentions.' Why don't you come in and take a seat since you have come? I must have a predestined relationship with you guys. I know only some of you. May I ask you to introduce yourselves? Tell me your names, your work and your home addresses. I will keep this information and return the 'visit' in the same way in the future." They looked embarrassed and not one dared to give me his name. For a few seconds, the air seemed to have frozen. Finally, one man asked, "Grandma, are you healthy these days?" This was a perfect opportunity to start to clarify the truth, so I began to do so.

I told them how I became healthy because I practice Falun Gong, how non-practitioners have also benefited from believing in Falun Gong, what Falun Gong is about, about Jiang Zemin and Luo Gan's starting the persecution of Falun Gong, the evil CCP's persecution of Falun Gong, "The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party," the evil nature of the CCP and the inevitable annihilation of the CCP. Next I told them about the trend to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Finally, they got up and left with a dumbfounded look on their faces.

The entire episode lasted less than 20 minutes. It was as though they had come to listen to the truth. During the process, no one said a word. Everyone was silent. The arrogance they showed at the beginning seemed to have disappeared without a trace. I knew it was the powerful righteous thoughts from my fellow practitioners in the other room that disintegrated the evil elements behind these "visitors."

Afterwards, we exchanged our respective understandings of this incident. The fact that the evil elements were able to manipulate these depraved men to make fools of themselves illustrates that we have not completely assimilated ourselves into the Fa and that we still hold human thoughts that the evil can exploit. On the other hand, we were able to cooperate as one body at the critical moment and our righteous thoughts displayed the might of our divine sides. Under Teacher's compassionate protection, we immediately disintegrated the evil elements from other dimensions. From this incident we have witnessed the Fa that Teacher has taught us. Teacher said,

"However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." ("Also in a Few Words" in Essentials for Further Advancement II)

Teacher said,

"For Dafa disciples as a whole, in the process of validating the Fa, when you work together in concert, the Fa power is great." ("Explaining the Fa During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference")

In May 2006, Jia Qinglin's inspection tour to our area covered Jilin City with additional layers of terror. Police cars patrolled at all the major traffic points and blocked some roads. Unemployed people were recruited to patrol the streets. There were checkpoints in every community. Security personnel wearing red arm bands were roaming the city. There were people patrolling and monitoring every floor. Hate propaganda and news columns against Falun Gong appeared on the bulletin boards again. Suddenly there were many arrests and deaths of Falun Gong practitioners. In some areas of Jilin City, forced brainwashing centers were restarted.

Our Fa study group decided that this was a sign that the evil is coming to an end and trying to put forth a last ditch effort of terror.

During that time, a propaganda vehicle broadcasted hate propaganda through a large speaker while driving through the streets. When two fellow practitioners spotted the vehicle, they immediately started to send forth righteous thoughts in close proximity of the vehicle. The speaker immediately broke down. The driver had no choice but to drive away.

After sharing in our Fa study group, we decided to take righteous actions with righteous thoughts and eliminate all the hate propaganda newspapers posted on the bulletin boards. All the bulletin boards are located on busy streets. Given the tight security in the city, how do we get rid of those newspapers on the bulletin boards? Some fellow practitioners found it difficult.

For the first two days, I asked fellow practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts at home for me. At first, I walked around the bulletin boards to check out the area. Next I took a damp rag with me to the bulletin boards. I sent forth righteous thoughts for a while before I left home. I repeatedly wiped the newspapers posted on the bulletin boards with the damp rag before I tore them down and put the shredded paper in my pockets. My pockets became full shortly. I thought of nothing except to eliminate the horrendous lies completely. I didn't have any human thought, such as the fear of being spotted or reported. I felt very sacred, just like the way I should have been the day I was born, and just like when I raised the Falun Gong banner on Tiananmen Square years ago. I felt pure and sacred in my heart and in my mind.

People looked at me with smiles on their face when I took down the newspapers. No one tried to stop or harm me. A man from a neighborhood office even told me, "There are more of them over there. Why don't you tear them down as well?" Within two days I tore down all the hate propaganda newspapers from the bulletin boards near my home. On the third day, everyone in our Fa study group went out to tear down newspapers. Under Teacher's protection and with our powerful righteous thoughts, we tore down the hate propaganda materials from a large area of the city.

These two incidents illustrate the effect when our Fa study group cooperated as one body and when our righteous thoughts displayed the might of our divine sides. We have become all the more determined to safeguard the truth of the universe, to eliminate the evil and to save sentient beings.
