Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Kong Xiangzhu and Mr. Wu Yueqing from Shuangyashan City in Heilongjiang Province are being tortured at the Mudanjiang City Prison in Heilongjiang Province. Mr. Kong developed tubercular meningitis and Mr. Wu pulmonary tuberculosis as a result of the torture. Mr. Kong is no longer able to walk, nor can he take care of himself, and Mr. Wu Yueqing's lung has a perforation. He is in critical condition, but the Mudanjiang City Prison still refuses to release them for medical treatment.

Practitioner Ms. Yang Zehui posted on her door the three Chinese characters for "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance," the principles of Falun Gong. Just for that, she was arrested by the police from the Kangping County Police Department in Liaoning Province and taken to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province for one year of forced labor.

Practitioner Mr. Geng Hongyuan from Xinzhuang Township in Yushu City, Jilin Province, was illegally arrested by police from Xinzhuang Township Police Station at 9 p.m. on October 9, 2006. He is detained at the Yushu City Detention Center.

Dafa practitioner Ms. Cao Xiulan was pulled into a car by several policemen in plainclothes for no legal reason. She was beaten and verbally abused. Then she was taken to a detention center, interrogated, and detained for a night. Because of strong protests by her family, the police released her the next day.

Practitioner Ms. Jia Fengzhong, 43, was from Zhaozhuangzi Village in Jianming Town, Zunhua City in the Tangshan Region of Hebei Province. He was arrested, and the police took him to the Jianming Town Police Station for distributing truth-clarification materials on February 1, 2001. He was handcuffed and kept outside in the cold for a night. The next day he was taken to Zunhua City Police Station for a three-month detention. After that, he was taken to Zunhua City Brainwashing Center, where he was brainwashed and physically abused daily for three months. They denied him his right to see his family and extorted 30 yuan daily for room and board.

In July 2001, Mr. Jia Fengzhong was taken to Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan Region and tortured. They made him sit on a small stool for 12 hours, shocked him with electric batons, tied him with ropes, and forced him to perform intensive physical labor. He was full of scabies due to humid living conditions. He was not released until July 2002.

In July 2003, the police went to his home, trying to arrest him again. Mr. Jia had to leave his home and go into hiding.

In December 2004, Mr. Jia was arrested by police from the Zunhua City State Security Team and detained in the Zunhua City Detention Center for a month. Then he was taken to the Hehuakeng Forced Labor Camp and suffered further torture.

Mr. Jia was transferred to the Shijiazhuang City Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province in November 2005 and is being tortured there. In addition, his home was ransacked four times, and his wife was arrested. The police from Jianming Township Police Station took her to the Zunhua City Brainwashing Center where they held her for 50 days beginning in November 2004. During that time, their two children were alone at home and had to fend for themselves.

In the morning on October 13, 2006, practitioner Ms. Liu Xianfeng from the Jiaonan District in Qingdao City in Shandong Province was stopped and forced to move to the roadside by a car and a minivan. The occupants of the minivan arrested her.

Practitioners Mr. Lu Hongyue and Mr. Zhang Chenglong from Linchun County in Shandong Province were arrested by police when distributing truth-clarification materials on the street in Jiushan Town in Linchun County. Practitioners Mr. Wang Hongyu and Ms. Liu Cuiying are from Longkou City in Shandong Province. On October 13, 2006, they were arrested when clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at the market in the Beima District in Longkou and then imprisoned at the Beima District Police Department.

When practitioner Ms. Hong Meiling from Yueqing City in Zhejiang Province was distributing truth-clarification materials, someone reported her to the police. She was arrested by police from Yueqing City Police Station. She was tortured at the Yueqing City Detention Center. Then she was sentenced to one and half years of forced labor and taken to Moganshan Forced Labor Camp in Zhejiang Province.

Practitioner Mr. Chen Zhongsheng from Yueqing City in Zhejiang Province was arrested by police from the 610 Office of the Yueqing City Police Department at an exit of the Yueqing Highway. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor and taken to Shiliping Forced Labor Camp in Jinhua City in Zhejiang Province for brainwashing.

In the morning on September 25, 2006, practitioners Ms. Chen Wenying and Ms. Xiao Kaiqun from Lingjie Township. Luoshui Town, Shifang City rode their bicycles to visit practitioner Mr. Wang Daguo. Someone reported them to the police of Zhong Jifu, Luoshui Town. Liu Huayou and other six or seven others from the Luoshui Town Comprehensive Management Office broke into Mr. Wang Daguo's home. They confiscated Teacher's picture, searched the three practitioners, and arrested them. The three practitioners were taken to Shifang City Detention Center in the afternoon.

Practitioners Ms. Zhang Hua, Ms. Ding Hongmei and Ms. Fu Rufen from Tongnan County in Chongqing City were arrested by police when clarifying the truth of Falun Gong in Xiaodu Town in Tongnan County on September 22, 2006. Ms. Fu was sentenced to one and half years of forced labor. Ms. Ding Hongmei's whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Zhang went on a hunger strike after she was arrested. At the end of September 2006, she was very weak and needed an oxygen mask to breathe. She was carried to court on a stretcher and sentenced to ten years of forced labor.

Around 2 p.m. on October 11, 2006, police from the Tianmen City 610 Office in Hubei Province went to Zaoshi Town and arrested the son of the owner of an Internet caf?and a boy at the Internet caf? The police have been monitoring this Internet caf?for a while because they had found out that people visited the Minghui website (the Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net). They suspected the owner was a Dafa practitioner. The owner's son was released after a fine was paid. The whereabouts of the boy, around 17 or 18, whom they suspected to be a practitioner, is unknown.

On September 22, 2006, practitioner Ms. He Cuiqiong from Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province was arrested at home and taken to the Chatou Brainwashing Center in Guangzhou. Her daughter went to the center twice but was not allowed to see her.

Around 8 p.m. on October 10, 2006, practitioner Ms. Zhang Mingjun was reported to police and arrested by police from Zheshi Town Police Station in Taoyuan County in Hunan Province when distributing truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong in Zheshi. She is currently detained at Taoyuan County Detention Center.

On October 10, 2006, practitioners Ms. Sun Xin'ai and Ms. Qu Xiuying from the Brick Factory of the Twenty Second Regiment of the Second Farming Division of Xinjiang and another practitioner from the Fifth Company of the Twenty Second Regiment were sentenced to three years of forced labor.

Practitioner Mr. Li Shaojiang, who was arrested at the same time, is detained at the Yanshi County Detention Center. On the same day, police from the Yanshi County Police Department arrested Mr. He Lidong and three other practitioners from the Huguang Candy Factory of the Second Farming Division. On September 30, 2006, practitioner Ms. Wang Ai'rong from Fusheng Village in Erdaowan Town, Fuyu County, was arrested by four policemen from the Hesheng Township Police Station in Nahe City, Heilongjiang Province. At that time, Ms. Wang was preparing lunch for her children. Her eldest daughter, a middle school student, tried to protect her, but the girl was roughly pushed aside by the police. One policeman punched the girl's ribs. Another grabbed her collar and threw her in the air. She landed heavily on the ground. Two of them pulled out their guns and aimed at the girl at the same time, "If you keep bothering us, we will kill you!" Ms. Wang Ai'rong was illegally detained at the Nahe City Detention Center.
