Taiwan: Elementary School Welcomes Falun Gong Performance (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 22, Shangta Elementary School in Taoyuan County held its annual competition to celebrate its 43rd birthday. More than 50 practitioners demonstrated the five Falun Gong exercises on the school's athletic field. Their bright yellow uniforms, synchronized and elegant exercise movements, and their exceptional spirit of peace provided the students and schoolteachers with a great performance.

Schoolteacher Li said: "I didn’t really know what Falun Gong was, although I knew a little about the persecution of the practice in Mainland China from media reports. After seeing their performance, I feel that the practice is so peaceful and special and their performance presented a picture of such great harmony between humans and nature. I am so touched." Many parents, schoolteachers, and other spectators expressed a similar feeling.

The principal said that the school welcomed and appreciated the practitioners’ participation. He said, "Falun Gong is a great practice" and that he was so pleased to see practitioners of different ages, from little ones to seniors in their 70s. In addition, the principal indicated that the practice was not just for show, but that it presented the students and teachers with a very positive and peaceful example, which is rarely seen in this stress-filled society. For this very reason, the principal and many special guests expressed their wish to learn the Falun Gong exercises at the site.
