By a practitioner in Hebei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The reason I am writing this experience sharing article is to remind fellow practitioners that we must have strong righteous thoughts at critical moments and ask Teacher to strengthen us so that we will not be persecuted by the evil and can therefore save more sentient beings.

One evening in December 2004, three of us practitioners went outside to post truth clarification flyers. We posted some right on a police station entrance and were reported to the police by someone. A police squad car arrived soon after and came up next to us. I sent forth righteous thoughts and told myself that we must immediately disband. After I finished sending forth righteous thoughts there was no one else but me. The policeman asked, "Didn’t I see three of you?" I said, "What are you talking about? What do you mean three of us?" The policeman asked me, "What are you doing?" I replied, "I was just taking a short walk." The policeman did not say anything more but showed his badge, "I am a police officer." I said, "So you are a police officer. Are you telling me that the police will prohibit people from taking a stroll? There is nothing against the law about taking a leisurely walk." There was nothing that he could do but let me go.

I knew that Teacher was guarding me. It was Teacher who gave me the powerful righteous thoughts, and I did not have the slightest fear. The three of us came home together. When we let go of the attachment of fear, the righteous thoughts will eradicate the evil.

In another incident on August 11, 2003, I was detained by the police at the market. The local police chief held up a pamphlet and asked me, "You distributed these, didn’t you?" I told him, "You are the one holding the material. I don’t get it." The police chief said, "Let’s go to the station." I refused to go, and he started beating me and told someone to get a witness. I said to him that all witnesses were prearranged by the Public Security Bureau. He beat me again. Since I did not send forth righteous thoughts, the police kept holding me. I said, "I was just doing some grocery shopping. Why don’t you just let people do their things and enjoy life?" Yet, he still held onto me without letting go.

Then I remembered that I should send forth righteous thoughts. So, I put down the bags in my hand and started sending forth righteous thoughts. After sending forth righteous thoughts three times, the police chief let go of his hold on me, but I kept sending forth righteous thoughts. Then the police chief said, "You can go." Soon after, he left too.

A righteous thought will destroy evil. That evening, I had a dream. I saw an old man take away something from my hand, so I went after him. Then I saw that he was not a man, but four wolves, and they clutched pamphlets in their mouths and were returning to their den. They were very vicious towards me. I started sending forth righteous thoughts and they became very tame. I woke up at that point and realized that it had something to do with the incident at the market. The dream actually pointed out to me that sending forth strong righteous thoughts will destroy the evil factors behind sentient beings, resulting in their salvation.

I enlightened that Teacher has already hinted to us that we must send forth righteous thoughts during tribulations. Fellow practitioners, we must accomplish all three things well and walk our own path well under the guidance of Teacher. Please kindly point out any lack of understanding.
