Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Cao Dong was arrested for meeting Mr. Edward McMillan-Scott, Vice President of the European Parliament who went to Beijing to investigate the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China on May 21, 2006. Mr. Cao was brainwashed and tortured both physically and mentally. Police also used the love and concern of Mr. Cao Dong's family members to manipulate and torment him. Mr. Cao Dong continues to be severely tortured in his hometown in Gansu Province.

At noon on October 26, 2006, police from the Caitun Village Police Station in Benxi City, Liaoning Province illegally arrested a female practitioner in her 50s and ransacked her home.

In October 2006, Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Xinhui from Buji Town in the Longgang District of Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, was arrested. He is currently imprisoned in the Tianhe District Detention Center in Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province.

Practitioner Ms. Feng Guirong from Harbin City in Heilongjiang Province was arrested by security guards while distributing truth-clarification materials about Falun Gong at an apartment complex in Nangang District of Harbin City. She is currently imprisoned at the Guxiang Second Detention Center in Harbin City.

On the morning of October 26, 2006, practitioner Ms. Dong Liqin from Changchun City in Jilin Province was abducted by police from the Nanjie Police Station in Changchun City. Her two practitioner sisters Ms. Dong Lihua and Ms. Dong Lijuan were also abducted at the same time. All of their homes were ransacked and Dafa books were taken. They are currently imprisoned at the Shuangyang Number Three Detention Center in Changchun City.

On October 23, 2006, a practitioner in her 40s, Ms. Zhang Shufen, was arrested from Balidian Village in Shenjiaying Town of Yanqing County in Beijing City. In the afternoon, practitioner Ms. Huang Qiuying, in her 60s, from Dongguan Village in Yanqing Town of Yanqing County, was also arrested. The next day, practitioners Ms. Ma Xianling and Ms. Liu Chunshu from the Qianjiadian Town of Beijing were arrested.

On October 25, 2006, practitioner Ms. Zhang Jinfeng from Nanqi Village in Tanghu Town of Yi County in Hebei Province was arrested by police from the Yi County State Security Team and the Tanghu Town Police Station. Her home was also ransacked.

Practitioner Mr. Zhang Shuangyong from Tangshan City in Hebei Province escaped from the devil's lair and safely returned home on October 27, 2006. However, another Dafa practitioner Mr. Li Xiangjie is still illegally imprisoned.

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Wang Lizhen, 55 years old, from Datong City in Shanxi Province, was reported to police by her former classmate, Zhao. Zhao did not understand the truth of Dafa. She was arrested by police and taken to the Datong City Police Department. She is currently imprisoned at Datong City Number One Detention Center. Niu Quanxi and three other police officers ransacked her home.

On September 13, 2006, family members of practitioners who were imprisoned at Baoding City Forced Labor Camp in Hebei Province borrowed a car from practitioner Mr. Li Lusheng from Matou Town in Zhuozhou City of Hebei Province to visit practitioners at the forced labor camp. On October 26, 2006, police from the Baoding City 610 Office and Zhuozhou City State Security Team took Mr. Li Lusheng to the Zhuozhou City Police Department for questioning. They then detained him at the Zhuozhou City Detention Center.

On the evening of October 16, 2006, Deputy Director Tang Gongming of the Xixia District 610 Office in Yantai City, Shandong Province, led five police officers in the arrest of practitioner Ms. Fan Guilan. Around 10 p.m. on October 20, 2006, Deputy Director Liu Weidong of the Xixia District 610 Office led more than 20 police in a raid on the home of practitioner Mr. Jiang Shibo. They arrested him and took away Dafa books and materials. Two other practitioners from the south part of Xicheng Town of Yantai City were also arrested. They are currently imprisoned at the Xiaozhuang Village Brainwashing Center in Yantai City.

Around 10 p.m. on October 9, 2006, Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Xinrong, 53 years old, from Kenli County of Dongyin City in Shandong Province was arrested by police from Shengtuo Town Police Station in Dongying City for posting truth-clarification materials. She was taken to the Kenli County Detention Center the next day. After fifteen days of detention she was sentenced to two years of forced labor and is currently imprisoned at Wang Village Forced Labor Camp in Zibo City in Shandong Province.

The Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Tianjin City put practitioners who refused to be "transformed" into solitary confinement. These practitioners were watched around the clock, forced to sit on stools or to stand up facing the wall for extended periods, prohibited from talking, and fed only one meal (steamed bread and a radish soup with no oil at all) a day.

A 70-year-old practitioner, Ms. Yu Yanwei, from Zibo City in Shandong Province retired from the Number One Fertilizer Factory of the Shandong Petro-Chemical Company. She was arrested at home by the local police in the afternoon on October 26, 2006. Her home was ransacked.

At 7 a.m. on September 28, 2006, police from the Xunyang District 610 Office in Jiujiang City of Jiangxi Province broke into practitioner Ms. Zhang Daidi's home. They ransacked her home and took her to the Jiujiang Detention Center, where she was held for about one month.

This caused much fear and sorrow for Ms. Zhang's elderly and ill parents. Police from the Xunyang District Police Department forced her family to pay over 10,000 yuan, then released Ms. Zhang Daidi on October 26, 2006.

On October 24, 2006, practitioner Mr. Qin Xiaoming, a student at the Wuchang City Number 39 Middle School in Hubei Province, was reported by School Youth League Secretary Zheng Wei and arrested by police from the Wuchang City National Security Team.

In the afternoon of May 16, 2006, practitioner Mr. Li Guojun and seven other practitioners were arrested at practitioner Mr. Xiao'o's home by police from the Criminal Investigation Team of the Chengdu Caotang Police Station in Chengdu City. Around midnight that evening, police from the Jinniu District Police Department of Chengdu City ransacked practitioner Ms. Liu Li's home. The arrested practitioners were first detained at the Criminal Investigation Team of the Dongpo Police Station in Chengdu City and later taken to the Beixiangzi Police Station in Jinniu District.

At noon on October 27, 2006, practitioner Ms. Feng Jiuchun from Chifeng City in Inner Mongolia, was arrested by her company's security guards for clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa, providing truth clarification materials, and talking about quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to the managers of the company. She was taken to the Pingzhuang Village Detention Center in Yuanbaoshan District in Chifeng City and later sentenced to two years of forced labor.

Police from the Duolun County in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region went to Beijing to try to arrest practitioner Mr. Cao Feng.

On the evening of October 14, 2006, practitioner Ms. Li Sanxia from Liuge Town in Hanchuan City, Hubei Province, was reported to police and arrested for clarifying the truth about Falun Gong at Zhuhu Farm in Xiaonan District in Xiaogan City of Hubei Province. She is currently imprisoned at the Xiaogan City Number One Detention Center.

On her way to work, practitioner Ms. Zhang Yuhua from Jingmen Petro-Chemical Company was arrested by policeman Sun Dehong and taken to the brainwashing center at the Jingmen Petro-Chemical Company Number One Hotel on October 18, 2006. She is yet to be released to

return home.

Six practitioners worked at the Yunnan Province Psychiatric Hospital. Two of these practitioners were arrested by police for distributing truth-clarification materials and taken to the Dabanqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Yunnan Province and Dapingba Men's Forced Labor Camp in Luoci Town in Yunnan Province. The other four practitioners, because of their refusing to give up cultivation, were arrested by police from the Kunming City 610 Office and the Panlong District Police Department in Kunming City of Yunnan Province. Police are asking the hospital for 60,000 yuan as fees for placing the practitioners in an isolated brainwashing center.

On October 25, 2006, practitioners Mr. Xu Feng, Mr. Tang Chaoyu, and Ms. Xu Xueping from Jiaoling County in Meizhou City of Guangdong Province, along with several others from Sanzhen Town in Jiaoling County, were arrested by police from the 610 Office in Jiaoling County. Their homes were ransacked. Police confiscated the computer, printer, CDs, etc. from Mr. Xu Feng's home. The practitioners are currently detained at the Jiaoling County Detention Center, except for Ms. Xu Xueping, who is at the Qinhuang Detention Center in Meijiang District in Meizhou City.

Around 5 p.m. on October 27, 2006, police from the Wuhan City 610 Office and Wuhan City Police Department in Hubei Province arrested practitioner Ms. Chen Liping and Ms. Ai who live on Wufu Road in Wuhan City. Several other practitioners were arrested that evening as well. Their whereabouts are unknown.

In September 2006, a group of 15 thugs came to the Number Two Women's Camp of the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Shenyang City of Liaoning Province to mercilessly beat practitioners. On September 3, 2006, these thugs took shifts to beat practitioners who stood firm in Dafa. Sixty to seventy practitioners were tortured one by one. They were hung by their arms and legs and beaten. The cries of pain could be heard by the entire forced labor camp. This torture caused some of the practitioners to become disfigured and others were rendered unable to walk due to the torture.
