Italy: Citizens of Verona Call for an End to the Persecution (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On the weekend of October 21 and 22, 2006, Italian practitioners carried out a two-day truth-clarification activity in Verona. The city center Bra Square is near Verona's famous ancient theater. Every day, many tourists from around world come to visit. Practitioners set up a Falun Dafa information table and a reenactment of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) torture methods used in the persecution in China. During these two days, there was a festival celebration in Verona Province which attracted a lot of tourists from surrounding areas.

Many passersby stopped and watched the anti-torture exhibition. They read the truth-clarification poster boards and banners very carefully to get information about the 7-year-long persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. In front of the practitioners' reenactment of the CCP's torture methods, many passers-by stopped, looked and thought quietly. Many of them signed their names on our petition form calling for an end to the persecution.

A tourist from New Zealand shed tears after listening to the truth-clarification, and gave a warm hug to the practitioner who explained the facts to her. She sincerely wished that the persecution would end soon. Another woman asked for lots of Chinese newspapers to give to Chinese people in her city.

Practitioners also demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises. The peacefulness and tranquility of the Dafa exercises showed a clear contrast to the brutality of the persecution. Several people also expressed their interest in learning Falun Dafa.
