Recent Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners at Heilongjiang Women’s Prison

1. Ms. Li Yushu of Big Xing'anling District in Heilongjiang Province is 57 years old. She’s been on a hunger strike for more than two and a half years. Currently she’s illegally detained in a small cell on the fourth floor, far from others. She has been insulted and persecuted by criminal inmates Wang Xinhua and Yuan Anfen.

2. Ms. Liu Dan of Jixi, Heilongjiang Province is 31 years old. On March 1, 2006 she was illegally arrested and taken to Heilongjiang Women’s Prison and has been on a hunger strike for more than four months. Convicts Xiao Lihua, Zhang Jing and Gao Hong used forced-feeding to torture Liu Dan. Every time they force-fed her they tied her to a chair or a bed and taped her mouth or pulled her to the floor by yanking her hair. Ms. Liu Dan was persecuted until she became very weak. Finally the perpetrators had no choice but to send Lui Dan to the infirmary, where murderer Li Guixiang continued persecuting her. To prevent Ms. Liu Dan from vomiting after forced-feedings they used a medical device to force Liu Dan’s mouth open to the maximum extent. Every time they did this it would go on for more than an hour, and Liu Dan’s mouth would invariably be left bleeding and swollen.

3. Ms. Guan Yurong is from Shuangyashan in Heilongjiang Province. She was arrested and taken to Heilongjiang Women’s Prison in 2002. Because she once led people in refusing to watch videos that slandered Dafa she was illegally detained in a small cell for more than two months. Afterwards Guan Yurong’s diabetes relapsed. Now her health is very poor. Because she refused to cooperate with them by giving her fingerprints, prison officials refused to release her for medical treatment.

4. Ms. Zhang Xiuying is from Qiqihar in Heilongjiang Province. On the night of September 1, Zhang Xiuying did the meditation on her bed. Prisoners Li Jingmin and Cai Shuzhen were on duty that night, assigned to monitor practitioners. When they found Zhang Xiuying meditating they brutally beat her. Li Jingmin punched Ms. Zhang Xiuying in the head, and she had difficulty breathing and couldn’t bear the pain. Zhang Xiuying’s chest and back were covered with bruises.

5. Ms. Hu Aiyun is a 40-year-old practitioner from Harbin in Heilongjiang Province. She’s been on a hunger strike for more than a year. She is currently detained in a small cell, though no further details are available.

6. On the afternoon of September 9, 2006, Dafa practitioners Guo Fenglan and Zheng Liping shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" Many prisoners then beat them to the ground. Team Leader Yu Yingmin and officer Tian Chuang were standing outside of the iron door. Convicted murderer Dong Xiuhua beat the practitioners even harder to please the leaders.

7. On the morning of September 10, 2006, prisoners Shen Shuyan and murderer Zhao Haibo wouldn’t allow the Dafa practitioners to talk with each other. They fiercely beat and pulled the hair of 66-year-old Falun Gong practitioner Zhang Xiuying. At the same time Dafa practitioners Fu Lihua and Zhang Guilan were found speaking in the corridor, so prisoner Zhen Hui shoved them to the ground.
