Prison Guards in the Suihua Forced Labor Camp in Heilongjiang Province Brutally Beat Practitioner Mr. Miao Shujun (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Miao Shujun, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Muling City, Heilongjiang Province, has been unlawfully detained in the Suihua Forced Labor Camp. On September 26, his family members went to visit him. They found that his face was terribly swollen and he could hardly move a single step. He told them, "I was beaten on September 22. As a result, I have been suffering unbearable headaches and chest pain. The name of the guard who led others to beat me is Shi Jian. The symptoms are getting more and more severe. The guards took me for an examination on September 25, but told me that there was nothing wrong." His family members were worried and went to visit him again on October 4. They were not allowed to meet him until October 8. Mr. Miao continued to suffer chest pain and dizziness. He threw up whatever he ate. Half of his body went numb. His wife confronted the guards in the labor camp about the brutality. A team leader named Lian Xin told her not to bring up the issue and claimed that she was in no position to look into it.

Presently, Mr. Miao's wife and mother are at the labor camp demanding the unconditional release of Mr. Miao Shujun. Bai Jiuyi, head of the administration section in the labor camp, told them there is no way to release him.

Practitioner Mr. Miao Shujun was arrested at 8:00 p.m. on November 6, 2005 at his home by four police officers led by Zhou Xinshen, head the city's State Security Division, and Sun Delong, of the city's No. 2 Police Station.

Mr. Miao Shujun, 38, has two children. One is an 8-year-old and the other is only 3 years old. The whole family relies on Mr. Miao's income. We appeal to all people upholding justice and all kindhearted people to support freedom of belief and help Mr. Miao get out of the unlawful, brutal persecution and return to his home as soon as possible.
