Houston, Texas: Practitioners Participate in Partnership Walk (Photos)


(Clearwisdom.net) On October 29, 2006, the Partnership Walk was held at University of Houston. The event was organized by the Aga Khan Foundation U.S.A., and the theme of the Walk is to end global poverty. With a history of a decade, the walk attracted about 8 thousand participants. Many prominent figures including Texas federal representatives, city councilors, and the president of the University participated in the Walk.

Some local Falun Gong practitioners also participated in the event, and their procession featured with bright yellow T-shirts and a banner which read "Falun Dafa-Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance"was very eye-catching. Many spectators greeted them by waving hands or applauding, some also talked to practitioners to learn more about the persecution in China.
